Job Description Summary:
Provide floor support and troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues across production lines with process, assembly, and filling, capping, labeling equipment. Apply Six Sigma, Kaizen, and statistical tools (DOE, process capability) for process optimization. Lead cost-reduction and efficiency projects, ensuring timely execution and compliance. Represent engineering on core teams for new product introductions and plant initiatives. Ensure adherence to engineering standards (NFPA79, Category 3 safety) and regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO). Perform CAD modeling, circuit design, and obsolescence management for electrical components. Design, develop, upgrade, and debug sequence control logic, PLC programs, and electrical control sub-systems. Develop and communicate specifications for electrical controls automation hardware, software components, and systems. Perform acceptance testing and validation on new manufacturing equipment. Develop and review technical documentation for manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience, the employer will also accept a Master's degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: PLC Programming and Diagnostics with Allen Bradley and Siemens software including programming with ladder logic, structured text, and sequential function charts; Vision System Design and Programming; Electrical Design and Control Systems; Automation Systems Integration; Automated Systems Validation; Computer-aided Design (CAD); Six Sigma, Kaizen, and statistical tools for process optimization; Engineering standards (NFPA79 and Category 3 safety); and Regulatory compliance (FDA and ISO).
Salary offered for the position is: $151,320.00 - $153,400.00/year.
