Job Description

As the Senior Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety you will be responsible for the administration of environmental, health, and safety programs for US Distribution. Responsibilities include ensuring processes are in place to support each aftermarket site leaders to meet or exceed federal and state standards for environmental and safety regulations (Agencies, OSHA, MSHA, USEPA, etc.); (Regulations - Water, Sewer, Air, Waste Treatment and Disposal).

This position can be located at or near any of our branches across the U.S. or within close proximity to an airport for easy travel to an MGX location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop, Implementation and maintenance of Aftermarket Safety Management System to reduce potential risks associated with aftermarket activities.
  • Develop, Implementation of Environmental Management System to ensure aftermarket facilities are continuously improving in regard to environmental compliance as well as waste reduction methodology.
  • Manage and oversee aftermarket medical services to ensure medical programs are developed and implemented to improve employee health and reduce worker's compensation exposure.
  • Manage 3rd party compliance and vetting programs as required by the Business, i.e. Avetta, ISNET, Ecovadis
  • Manage the relationship with customer safety teams and be the point of contact for
  • Manage Team of Safety Managers (2) and dotted line management of local branch safety coordinators
  • Support aftermarket leaders to ensure regulatory reporting is thoroughly completed and submitted in timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with and provide consultation to aftermarket leaders new and future environmental and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement EHS training programs to further enhance employee skills on environmental, health, and safety issues.
  • Responsible for supporting each aftermarket locations across the USA to ensure that regulatory compliance audits with local, state, and/or federal officials in professional manner. Responsible for ensuring all documentation required for specific audit is accurate, available, and supplied to regulatory official in timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Master's Degree in Safety Management preferred with a minimum of 8 years' experience in Occupational Health and Safety required.
  • Managerial experience required.
  • Must have prior experience in the development and deployment of Safety Management System, ensuring all location sites are compliant with all federal, state and local regulations and training of all new hourly and salary new hires.
  • Experience in disaster response preparation and conductance of required training drills and simulations.
  • Must have the ability to research and interpret OSHA, MSHA and other regulations
  • Strong skills in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access spreadsheets required.
  • Must be able to work in all environments (hot/cold weather, noise exposure, exposure to hazardous materials, etc.)
  • Must be able to travel up to 50%, domestically and occasionally international. Must have or have ability to acquire passport. May be expected to visit and provide support to team in South America one to two times per year.

PAY:
  • This position offers a base salary between $115,000 to $130,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience, as well as participation in an annual Short Term Incentive Plan bonus. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.
