What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking an exceptional leader to champion the transformation agenda across RBC Insurance and help shape the future of our organization. You will lead a high-performing team of transformation experts, oversee a portfolio of mission-critical programs, and mobilize business-wide change - accelerating strategic partnerships and shaping our business evolution.

What will you do?
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of transformation experts; create a culture where ambitious goals are met with disciplined execution and strong risk management
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of large-scale, multi-year initiatives-from digital transformation to new venture - turning strategic priorities into clear roadmaps with defined milestones and measurable outcomes
  • Drive strategic programs from concept to launch; align senior leaders across the organization and remove obstacles that slow progress
  • Build partnerships-inside RBC and with external partners-that create competitive advantage and unlock new opportunities
  • Secure funding for transformation initiatives, manage budgets rigorously, and demonstrate clear return on investment
  • Hold teams accountable to clear standards; keep senior leadership informed with transparent progress updates and escalate risks early
  • Anticipate challenges and barriers to change; lead the organization through transformation by managing adoption, building resilience, and navigating regulatory and cultural complexities


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • 12+ years leading transformation: Proven success driving large-scale business transformations with measurable impact; track record of turning complex, multi-year initiatives into clear wins
  • Leadership at scale: Experience building and leading teams of 10+ transformation professionals; ability to inspire high performance
  • Portfolio management: Proven ability to manage multiple large programs simultaneously, prioritizing resources, managing dependencies, and delivering results across complex organizations
  • Executive influence: Exceptional ability to align senior leaders and diverse teams; proven success building partnerships, removing roadblocks, and securing commitment to ambitious goals
  • Clear communication: Can distill complex strategies into compelling narratives that resonate with different audiences-from frontline teams to the C-suite
  • 8+ years in financial services: Deep, hands-on experience in banking or insurance transformation, strategy, or operations; thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and operational complexity in financial services


Nice-to-have
  • 5+ years of insurance-specific experience, with deep knowledge of RBCI's business, products, and market
  • MBA or equivalent advanced business education
  • Formal Program/Project Management Certification (PMP, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent)
  • Board-level exposure or experience presenting to senior governance forums
  • Experience with organizational change management frameworks and enterprise-wide adoption strategies

The expected pay range for this position is:
$135,000.00 - $185,000.00
