Job DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee critical functions at the intersection of strategy, finance, and operations within RBCx. This role will drive growth, operational excellence, and financial stewardship across a diverse portfolio, including high-impact initiatives and large-scale acquisitions. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic team responsible for financial planning, strategic prioritization, and scalable process design, while partnering with senior executives to deliver on RBC's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership:
- Lead strategic planning, prioritization, and operational scalability across RBCx, including OKRs, process centralization, operating model design, and change management.
- Lead business performance and governance across the four RBCx pillars to ensure alignment against RBCx and RBC goals.
- Drive Group Executive updates and Project Approval Requests (PARs) for large, complex initiatives, with a focus on governance, business casing, and value creation.
- Oversee strategic functions that drive client acquisition through portfolio-adjacent activities
- Deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting to RBC's senior leadership, ensuring clarity and strategic insights that translate into actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Financial Operations & Governance:
- Lead the Financial Operations team, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and legal entity compliance.
- Optimize finance infrastructure through automation and continuous improvement.
- Acquisition & Integration Oversight:
- Provide consultative expertise on deal feasibility, operational readiness, and integration for acquisitions.
- Ensure seamless operational transitions and value preservation post-acquisition.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead high-performing teams (e.g., Business Management, Strategic Finance, Enablement, People Experience) to support RBCx's growth agenda.
QualificationsMust-Haves:
- MBA, CPA, or CFA designation.
- Experience: 12+ years in strategic finance, business operations, or corporate development, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Financial Acumen: Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and business casing for large-scale initiatives.
- Strategic Execution: Proven ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on operational execution.
- Leadership: Track record of managing diverse teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and automation tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with experience presenting to executives.
- Agility: Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with competing priorities.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in consulting, high-growth tech, or financial services.
- Expertise in M&A lifecycle management or venture operations.
