We are seeking a Senior Director, Strategic IT Partner, Administration and Finance to provide senior technology partnership for Finance and the company's corporate Administration functions. Reporting directly to the CIO, this leader aligns technology strategy, investment and delivery with functional priorities and enterprise outcomes. The role leads teams with responsibility for relevant business applications and solutions while orchestrating shared ERP, platform, Information Security, Infrastructure & Operations, and AI & Data capabilities to improve financial management, productivity, employee experience, automation, compliance, risk management and organizational effectiveness across Diebold Nixdorf.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior technology partner to Diebold Nixdorf executive leaders across Finance and Administration.


  • Support Finance functions including Controllership, Finance Operations, Corporate Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Tax and Treasury.


  • Support Administration functions including Legal & Compliance; Audit, Risk & Assurance; Internal Communications; Real Estate, Facilities & Physical Security; and the People Team.


  • Develop a deep understanding of functional strategies, operating models, priorities and transformation requirements.


  • Translate business priorities into technology strategies, multi-year roadmaps and investment plans.


  • Identify opportunities to simplify, digitize and automate corporate and financial processes.


  • Own the portfolio of business solutions and applications assigned to the Administration and Finance technology organization.


  • Establish strong product and solution ownership with accountability for business value throughout the lifecycle.


  • Lead business analysis, functional solution design, product management and application delivery capabilities within the organization.


  • Shape and prioritize technology demand based on strategic alignment, business value, risk, cost and capacity.


  • Maintain end-to-end accountability for business outcomes even where underlying capabilities are provided by shared Technology organizations.


  • Build a particularly strong partnership with ERP & Platforms teams given the importance of Oracle, SAP and other enterprise platforms to Finance and corporate processes.


  • Ensure functional requirements are effectively translated into sustainable enterprise platform solutions rather than unnecessary customization.


  • Partner with AI & Data teams to improve analytics, forecasting, automation, decision support and application of AI across Finance and Administration.


  • Identify opportunities to use generative AI, intelligent automation and digital technologies to improve productivity and employee experience.


  • Partner with Information Security to ensure appropriate security, privacy, regulatory and risk controls.


  • Partner with Infrastructure & Operations to ensure business solutions are reliable, performant and supportable.


  • Drive application simplification, rationalization, standardization and reduction of technical debt.


  • Promote reuse of enterprise platforms and shared capabilities.


  • Lead technology-enabled transformation across supported functions.


  • Ensure programs deliver measurable outcomes, adoption and sustainable benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.


  • Significant senior leadership experience within a large, complex enterprise technology organization.


  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives across Finance, Human Resources or other corporate functions.


  • Strong understanding of enterprise Finance processes and technologies.


  • Broad familiarity with areas such as financial accounting, finance operations, FP&A, treasury, tax and corporate financial management.


  • Experience supporting technology capabilities across other enterprise functions such as HR/People, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Audit or Corporate Services.


  • Strong track record translating business strategy into technology roadmaps, investments and measurable outcomes.


  • Experience leading complex enterprise application and digital transformation portfolios.


  • Strong understanding of major ERP environments and their role in supporting Finance and corporate processes.


  • Experience working effectively with dedicated ERP/platform organizations while retaining accountability for functional solutions and outcomes.


  • Experience operating in a federated or matrix technology model using shared Information Security, Infrastructure, Data, AI and platform capabilities.


  • Strong product, portfolio and lifecycle-management orientation.


  • Demonstrated experience simplifying business processes and application landscapes and reducing customization and technical debt.


  • Strong understanding of automation, data, analytics, AI, cloud and modern enterprise application capabilities.


  • Proven ability to identify practical opportunities for AI and automation across corporate functions.


  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including investment prioritization, business cases, vendor management and value realization.


  • Demonstrated ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and senior technology professionals.


  • Excellent executive communication, influencing, stakeholder-management and decision-making skills.


  • Ability to navigate a diverse stakeholder landscape and balance competing functional priorities.


  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with disciplined delivery and execution within a global organization.


  • Based in the United States and able to work effectively in a remote leadership role, with periodic travel as required.
