If you were the Sr. Director, Sourcing now, here are some of the core activities you would be responsible for:

  • Leading, guiding and mentoring a high performing Sourcing team, fostering core competencies and capabilities in delivering a world class supply chain
  • Driving cross-functional initiatives to achieve organizational objectives and long-term strategic plan
  • Developing and implementing our global sourcing strategy with the right manufacturing capacity and capability to drive our business growth and delivers on cost, quality, and speed to market needs
  • Leading the Sourcing team to achieve its medium and long-term financial and operating objectives as set by the strategies and business plans
  • Fostering a culture of growth and development across the Sourcing org and holding other leaders and managers accountable to their goals
  • Owning and enhancing relationship with our suppliers through direct engagement, collaboration, and partnership
  • Leading the seasonal planning and commercialization process: allocations strategy, seasonal development to buy ready, and end-to-end costing
  • Building a transparent costing methodology with strong standards to deliver the right product costs and meet margin targets
  • Managing the supplier network with the right balance of country, capacity, and capability to maximize value and reduce long-term risk
  • Leading the search strategy for new suppliers with a robust sourcing criteria, evaluation and qualification framework
  • Designing a comprehensive onboarding program for new suppliers to ensure a successful integration
  • Negotiating, managing and safeguarding the terms and conditions of our supplier agreement
  • Leading continuous supply chain improvement by maintaining a supplier scorecard that captures areas of performance including product innovation, development, lead time, costs, compliance, sustainability, and partnership
  • Partnering with Advanced Concepts and Inline Design teams to ensure we have the right capability and business plan to deliver product concept and innovation
  • Collaborating cross-functionally as a key member of our product leadership team
  • Upholding the Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing through the Arc'teryx supply chain
  • Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building
  • Advancing responsible purchasing principles and practices through adherence negotiated lead time and balanced annual capacities as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy

Wage: A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD $181,000 - CAD $249,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer
