The Role: Forge is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to lead our Trading Platform and Data product organizations. This role owns the vision, strategy, and execution across our core trading platform, platform services and APIs, and our data business. This product leader will be responsible for building a cohesive product strategy that powers liquidity, enables partner integrations, and drives data monetization across the private markets ecosystem. This leader will manage a team of product managers, including senior technical product leadership for platform and APIs, and will play a critical role in shaping Forge's next-generation infrastructure for private markets.
Location: This role requires 2-3 days a week in office in Soho, NY office.
Responsibilities: - Own and define the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap across Trading Platform, Platform Services/APIs, and Data products
- Deliver measurable customer and business outcomes aligned with Forge's marketplace, data, and platform growth strategies
- Lead the development of a scalable, reliable trading platform that supports complex private market transactions and regulatory requirements
- Drive the evolution of platform services and APIs to support internal product teams, external partners, and institutional integrations
- Own and grow the data product business, including datasets, APIs, derived analytics, and index products
- Define and implement monetization strategies across trading, platform, and data offerings
- Establish and track KPIs across platform performance, data product adoption, API usage, and business impact
- Partner with engineering leadership to shape platform architecture, scalability, and long-term technical strategy
- Work closely with data research, operations, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality data pipelines and lifecycle management
- Collaborate with GTM teams (sales, marketing, partnerships) to drive product adoption, commercialization, and revenue growth
- Engage directly with key customers, partners, and market participants to inform product strategy and validate solutions
- Navigate regulatory, compliance, and market structure considerations in private markets and trading systems
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of product managers, including senior technical PMs for platform and APIs
- Drive a culture of product excellence, strategic thinking, and customer-centric decision making
- Evangelize product strategy and platform vision internally and externally, including executive and client-facing engagements
Qualifications - 8-10 years of product management experience, with significant leadership experience in fintech, trading platforms, or data products
- Deep expertise in capital markets, trading systems, and market data products
- Proven track record of owning and scaling complex platform products, including APIs and backend systems
- Experience building and monetizing data products, including APIs, datasets, and analytics
- Strong technical fluency, with the ability to engage deeply with engineering on architecture, APIs, and system design
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing product teams
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in financial markets (e.g., FINRA, SEC)
- Exceptional ability to operate in ambiguity and drive strategic decisions in evolving markets
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level influence
- Experience working cross-functionally across engineering, data, operations, legal, and go-to-market teams
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in private markets, secondary trading, or alternative asset management
- Experience with institutional trading systems, exchanges, or marketplaces
- Familiarity with market data vendors and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet)
- Experience with API-first business models and platform ecosystems
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
For residents of New York, NY area the annual base salary range for this role is $250,000 - $275,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors.
