Job Title: Senior Director, Private Markets Fund Accounting Locations: Union, NJ (hybrid), New York City (hybrid), Windsor, CT (Hybrid), Stamford, CT (hybrid) About the Role Step into a senior leadership role where you’ll shape the vision and strategy of a high-impact Private Markets business, overseeing a broad suite of fund accounting, operations, and product capabilities. You’ll drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence while leading high-performing teams and partnering with clients and executives to deliver meaningful results. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide direction, elevate client outcomes, and make a lasting impact in a fast-evolving market. How You Will Make an Impact  • Lead at the executive level, setting the vision and direction for a large, multi-functional Private Markets organization while shaping and executing a forward-looking operating model • Own and drive the success of the Private Markets business, spanning product strategy, fund accounting and administration, capital accounts, middle office, investment accounting, regulatory reporting, and performance analytics • Deliver on key business objectives, including P&L and profitability, talent and location strategy, and client satisfaction—while acting as a product champion to evolve offerings in line with market and client needs • Partner closely with sales and marketing to accelerate growth, support business development, and strengthen the firm’s market presence • Leverage deep industry, competitive, and technology insights to inform strategic decisions and drive long-term value creation • Serve as a highly visible, influential leader with executives and clients, confidently communicating strategy, performance, and results across all levels of the organization Required Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting or related discipline • 10+ years relevant experience working for a financial institution and/or fund administrator • 5+ years of prior management/supervisory experience What Sets You Apart • Substantive knowledge of the middle office operations and provides ways to generate business/sales • Bring sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial data and deliver meaningful insights • Demonstrated leadership building high-performing teams in fast-paced, high-accountability environment • Confidently communicate financial and securities concepts to a range of audiences, translating complexity into clarity • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and controls, with a commitment to high-quality, reliable outcomes • Perform at your best under pressure, effectively managing competing priorities and tight client deadlines • Initiate and drive multiple projects to successful completion in a deadline driven environment • CPA/CFA, MBA preferred Join SS&C, where innovation meets global opportunities. Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New Jersey: The expected base salary for the position is between $135,000 USD to $240,000 USD. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between $135,000 USD to $240,000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company’s discretion.  Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
