Full Job Description
Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Director, Performance Marketing obsessed with harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to redefine growth. You possess a demonstrated mastery of AI tools - from leveraging AI/AGO platforms like ChatGPT and Claude to architecting custom, agentic workflows - to drive outsized, measurable results. Your experience isn't just about managing channels; it's about building a future-proof, autonomous experimentation engine that uses data, computer vision, and real-time iteration to link Member exposure directly to transactions in the Recognition Economy. You thrive on the challenge of integrating complex AI systems into a holistic, closed-loop attribution model, proving partner value, and accelerating our expansion across parking, retail, and hospitality. You thrive in fast-moving environments, balancing quality with output, and you're energized by the opportunity to help shape and scale a function at a pivotal stage of growth. You care deeply about measurable business outcomes and will coordinate with each of our regions and divisions to drive standards and best practices.
What you'll do
  • Develop the worldwide, multi-channel strategy for capturing demand across the entire Metropolis network; this will likely comprise a mix of paid and organic efforts to drive maximum output
  • Develop AI-native, agentic workflows to activate our Member network, driving personalized, presence-based offers - like loyalty redemption at fueling stations or order recognition at QSR drive-thrus - to increase Member LTV and cross-vertical habituation
  • Architect and scale closed-loop attribution and media models that use computer vision data to directly link Member exposure to real-world transactions, accelerating partner value realization in new verticals like Hospitality
  • Build an autonomous experimentation engine that optimizes performance campaigns by generating, testing, and iterating on creative assets in real-time, focusing narratives on the irrefutable value proposition of the Recognition Economy and achieving high efficiency gains
  • Establish the structure and processes to operate a centralized performance marketing function with stakeholders across geographies and product lines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build and iterate on campaigns; partner closely with Growth stakeholders (including product line owners and leadership) to share learnings, brainstorm, and report out on results
  • Partner with Data to create a measurement ecosystem that allows us to track leading indicators and KPIs throughout the funnel
  • Pick up IC initiatives to maximize your impact
  • When necessary, effectively manage vendors to achieve our goals
What we're looking for
  • 8+ years of experience, with at least half as a Performance Marketing leader; people management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to own a budget and quantitatively justify campaign spend
  • Experience with commercial decision making
  • Demonstrated end-to-end project ownership
  • Clear communication, with the ability to easily modulate the message whether talking to an individual contributor or an executive
  • Track record of delivering outsized results by partnering with others cross-functionally
  • Best-in-class analytical skills to uncover insights and the courage to pivot strategy based on what is learned
  • Deep channel expertise spanning paid social platforms, AI / AGO, SEM, affiliate marketing, and/or landing page optimization
  • Agility and speed; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
  • A keen business sense focused on creating financial impact for Metropolis

4 Days in Office: Metropolis values in-person collaboration to drive innovation, strengthen culture, and enhance the Member experience. Our corporate team members hold to our office-first model, which requires employees to be on-site at least four days a week, fostering organic interactions that spark creativity and connection

When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $185,000.00 USD to $235,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more. #LI-KD1 #LI-Onsite
