Full Job Description
D.C. United is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Senior Director of Ticket Sales and Service to lead all ticketing revenue functions for the club, including new business, group sales, service & retention, and premium sales. This role is a key leadership position responsible for driving overall ticket revenue, developing high-performing teams, and executing innovative sales strategies across all product lines at Audi Field.

Role Overview

The Senior Director of Ticket Sales and Service oversees the full ticketing ecosystem for D.C. United, managing revenue generation across season memberships, group sales, and premium offerings. This individual will lead and develop a team of sales and service leaders while also playing an active role in high-level B2B sales, particularly in premium products such as suites and club seating.

This role requires a strong blend of leadership, strategy, and hands-on sales execution. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with experience managing teams, building scalable processes, and closing high-value deals with corporate partners and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all ticket sales and service functions, including new business, group sales, premium sales, and retention.
  • Directly manage and develop department leaders, including the Director of Groups, Manager of New Business, and Manager of Service & Retention.
  • Set and execute comprehensive ticket sales strategies to maximize revenue across all product lines.
  • Establish clear revenue goals, KPIs, and accountability measures for all sales and service teams.
  • Drive premium sales growth through direct involvement in high-level B2B sales, including annual suites, club season tickets, and hospitality packages.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, C-level executives, and key community stakeholders.
  • Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to ensure consistent revenue performance.
  • Identify and lead strategic projects that enhance revenue generation, improve operational efficiency, and elevate the fan experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, and operations to align sales initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Foster a high-performance, competitive, and collaborative sales culture focused on development, accountability, and results.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Skills: Advanced leadership, sales strategy, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as needed.
  • Other: CRM experience required; Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
