Job Summary:

The Senior Director, Strategy and Planning is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive the long-term growth and success of the Large Programs division. This role ensures that business goals align with market opportunities, client needs, and industry trends while optimizing resources, financial planning, and operational efficiency. The Senior Director collaborates with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to maintain a competitive edge in telecom infrastructure development, including 5G deployment, fiber optic networks, and smart city projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement long-term strategies for the Large Programs division to ensure sustainable growth, profitability, and alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to define the division's vision, goals, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and market demands.
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the telecom industry (e.g., 5G rollout, fiber optic infrastructure, smart cities) and integrate them into the division's strategy.

• Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to understand industry trends, customer demands, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
  • Leverage market insights to help the company make informed strategic decisions about resource allocation, technology adoption, and expansion opportunities.
  • Identify potential growth opportunities, such as new market segments, regions, or product offerings, and guide the company in seizing those opportunities.

• Lead the development of a strategic portfolio of large-scale projects that maximize the company's capabilities, profitability, and market position.
  • Ensure that all major programs and projects are aligned with business priorities and deliver the intended value to clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the prioritization of projects based on business objectives, risk factors, and resource availability, ensuring that critical projects are executed effectively.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency by streamlining processes, reducing costs, and eliminating inefficiencies across the division.
  • Work with senior leadership and operational teams to implement best practices, standardize procedures, and optimize workflows across large-scale telecom projects.
  • Encourage innovation in project management, technology, and construction methods to improve project delivery times and reduce overhead.

• 6. Collaborate with key clients and stakeholders to understand their business needs and ensure that strategic initiatives are aligned with client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major telecom operators, contractors, vendors, and other partners to support the successful delivery of large programs.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by managing the division's strategy to provide high-quality, cost-effective, and on-time solutions for large telecom infrastructure projects.

• Identify strategic risks related to the execution of large telecom projects, including market, regulatory, financial, and operational risks.
  • Develop risk management frameworks and mitigation plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions on large-scale projects.
  • Ensure that contingency plans are in place for high-risk areas, and that the company can adapt to changing circumstances or challenges.

• Work closely with other divisions (such as engineering, construction, procurement, and operations) to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and support to ensure that strategic goals are effectively communicated and implemented across all functions involved in large-scale projects.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring that all teams understand the broader strategic vision and are aligned in their efforts to achieve it.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to senior managers and teams within the Strategy and Planning division.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance within the division.
  • Ensure that the team is well-equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to execute strategic initiatives effectively.

• Develop and implement performance metrics and reporting frameworks to track the success of strategic initiatives, projects, and programs.
  • Regularly assess the performance of ongoing programs and projects to ensure they are on track and meeting the intended objectives.
  • Provide detailed reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders on the progress of strategic goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and any areas of concern.
