Job Summary:
As the Senior Director, you will provide comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder services, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and care coordination across community-based, office-based, and specialized programs. You will ensure individualized, recovery-oriented services and documentation comply with Medicaid and New Jersey regulatory standards. Additionally, you will provide clinical expertise, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community resources to address service needs, support client engagement and recovery, and perform additional responsibilities as organizational needs evolve

What You Will Do:

• Provide overall strategic and clinical direction for School-Based Services, establishing annual priorities aligned with Children & Family Division and agency goals.
• Advise senior leadership on service capacity, clinical and operational risks, staffing, school district needs, and growth opportunities.
• Establishe scalable workflows, leadership structures, performance expectations, and accountability systems across programs and sites.
• Identify emerging risks and operational barriers, develops solutions, and escalates matters requiring executive, legal, compliance, finance, or HR involvement.
• Represent School-Based Services in agency leadership, strategic, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Serve as the senior relationship lead for school districts and maintains effective partnerships with administrators and key decisionmakers.
• Oversee implementation, service agreements, renewals, and contract performance, ensuring alignment of scope, staffing, deliverables, reporting, referrals, and district priorities.
• Monitor utilization, staffing capacity, partner satisfaction, and contract compliance; addresses service gaps, scope changes, and other concerns proactively.
• Use program data and performance reviews to guide service improvements, renewals, and decisions regarding additional resources or contract amendments.

What Makes You a Successful Candidate:

• A Master's Degree in Social Work or other behavioral health disciplines from an accredited college or university.
• NJ License as required by program: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible behavioral-health program leadership, including significant supervisory and administrative responsibility; school-based, child/adolescent, community mental health, or multi-site experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (Arabic, Creole, Korean, Polish, Spanish) a plus
• A valid driver's license is required and must be insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.
