Description
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
  • -Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • -Develop executive-level reports related to HR strategy, programs, and metrics.
  • -Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and operational efficiency.
  • -Utilize HR data and analytics to support decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.

Talent Management & Development
  • -Lead initiatives related to talent acquisition, retention, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • -Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and implement professional development programs.

HR Program Development & Compliance
  • -Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs and policies across the organization.
  • -Ensure alignment with state and federal employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO), as well as client's Group global policies.
  • -Monitor compliance and proactively mitigate risk through audits, training, and policy updates.

Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • -Oversee day-to-day employee relations activities, providing guidance to managers and employees to ensure a positive work environment.
  • -Administer the performance management process, including goal setting, coaching, feedback, and training for leaders.
  • -Counsel leadership in applying associate relations best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Global HR & Cross-Cultural Collaboration
  • -Collaborate with Global HR counterparts, particularly in South Korea, to support global programs and ensure alignment across cultures.
  • -Adapt global initiatives to fit local practices and regulatory requirements while promoting global HR consistency.

Team Leadership
  • -Lead, develop, and mentor the HR team, including HR Managers and specialists in areas such as Benefits, Training, HRIS, and Recruiting.
  • -Foster an environment of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth within the HR function.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Candidate Profile / Key Requirements
1.A seasoned HR professional with broad experience across multiple HR functions at major U.S.-based corporations, currently at Manager level or above.
2.Demonstrated people and organizational management experience, with direct leadership responsibility for teams of 10 or more.
3.Strong hands-on experience in HR operations, rather than primarily HR strategy or planning, including areas such as talent acquisition, workforce management, executive HR, and organizational restructuring.
4.Proven ability to elevate and modernize HR ways of working, including processes, policies, systems, and operating models, specifically aligned to the needs of the HR organization.
5.Capability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple HR workstreams, track progress across functions, and provide timely, structured reporting.
6.Prior experience working in Corporate / Headquarters HR at a major U.S. company.
7.A leader who can make clear, accountable decisions within their scope of responsibility, grounded in their professional expertise and experience.
8.Preferred background in automotive and/or technology-driven companies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1.Provide overall leadership and oversight of HR operational functions, including recruitment, workforce planning and operations, organizational restructuring, compensation, HR policies, and rewards & disciplinary matters.
2.Strengthen the organizational capability and professional depth of the HR Team.
3.Drive improvements in HR team culture, including engagement, trust, and emotional well-being within the organization.
4.Ensure that executive-level matters and critical HR issues are clearly identified and reported directly to the CHRO.
5.Coordinate and respond to urgent or high-priority directives from HMG, HMC, and R&D Headquarters, under the leadership and direction of the CHRO.
6.Travel up to 1-2 times per quarter as needed dome

This is a Permanent position based out of Ypsilanti, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
Full benefits, Med, vision and dental. 3 weeks of PTO and week of sick time.
