KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Team Leadership & Departmental Vision
- Lead, mentor, and manage functional teams, ensuring they meet performance goals and evolve alongside the needs of our clients.
- Balance the delegation of client relationship and project duties to your broader team, with the need to directly involve yourself in day-to-day activities as required/on strategic initiatives.
- Oversee your team members so that projects are executed with excellence: on time, on budget, and on strategy for the client.
- Strategic Client Consulting
- Serve as a strategic partner to major clients, helping them define marketing transformation strategies, navigate complexity in their business and unlock market share gains.
- Translate evolving client needs into actionable strategy roadmaps that leverage the full spectrum of digital channels and solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to funeral home owners and operators, offering strategic guidance on marketing investments and long-term growth planning.
- AI, Data & Innovation Integration
- Embed AI and data-driven thinking into how digital strategy is developed, communicated, and executed.
- Stay ahead of marketing and martech trends, applying emerging tools like generative AI and automation to create smarter, faster, more personalized strategies.
- Partner with internal teams to evolve and promote AI-enhanced solutions and capabilities for both client-facing engagements and internal operations.
- Operational & Performance Oversight
- Revenue and Profit Management: deliver against the business goals for revenue and margin through the current offerings, as well as creating new offerings for clients.
- Monitor and report on departmental KPIs, including resource utilization, team allocation, profitability, and skill development.
- Build scalable workflows and processes to improve the efficiency, quality, and repeatability of outputs.
- Continuously improve operational practices that allow digital teams to meet performance expectations while remaining agile and cost-effective.
- Business Development & Growth
- Contribute to Marketing Services growth goals by participating in the pitch and proposal process as a senior leader.
- Partner with account and sales teams to identify, shape, and close new opportunities through strong value articulation and consultative salesmanship.
- Bring a visionary perspective to positioning to develop and refine our digital value proposition and go-to-market approach.
- Build strategies to maintain competitiveness by forecasting digital trends, monitoring competitor activity, and evolving our strategic offering accordingly.
Skills & Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: - 7-12+ years of B2B marketing experience, with experience in B2B SaaS, vertical SaaS, or multi-product platforms (eCommerce and marketing services a plus).
- 10+ years of experience in: managed services, marketing agency, digital marketing strategy and team leadership.
- Strong operator, understand systems, margins, and how to scale a service business
- Deep understanding of digital marketing (paid ads, SEO, content, social, funnels)
- Creative and strategic, can set vision and get in the weeds when needed
- Business-minded, you think in terms of revenue, cost, and ROI, not just campaigns
- Confident leader who can recruit, develop, and inspire a team

Compensation Range: $160,000 - $180,000
