Senior Director, Marketing

Summary:

The Senior Director, Marketing will lead brand marketing for the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, serving as the strategic leader responsible for driving campaigns, collaborating across all integrated departments, supporting revenue goals and determining how the organization shows up in market, across fan touchpoints, and throughout major tentpole moments. This role will oversee the overall marketing strategy for the Miami Dolphins, including brand positioning, campaign planning, and cross-functional execution of events and initiatives. The role will also be responsible for leading the marketing strategy and coordinated execution of Hard Rock Stadium initiatives, such as concerts, international soccer and other similar events.

The successful candidate will be a strategic brand leader, strong people manager, and highly collaborative partner who can translate business objectives into compelling marketing campaigns that drive revenue, engagement, fan growth, and long-term brand affinity.

The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of brand marketing experience in a professional team environment, with a proven ability to lead complex campaigns, manage high-performing teams, and operate with sound judgment and low ego in a fast-paced sports and entertainment organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead brand marketing strategy for the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium, ensuring campaigns, messaging, and fan touchpoints reflect a clear, consistent, and elevated brand position, reflective of a historical and world-renowned team.
  • Develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, membership retention and growth, sponsorship value and priorities, event awareness, fan engagement, and long-term brand affinity.
  • Oversee campaign planning and execution for major Miami Dolphins priorities, including season launch, ticket campaigns, membership initiatives, tentpole brand events, community moments, and international opportunities.
  • Lead marketing strategy for Hard Rock Stadium concerts, international soccer, and other live events that reinforce the venue as a premier sports and entertainment destination.
  • Manage and develop the brand marketing team by setting priorities, providing strategic direction, coaching talent, and building accountability.
  • Partner across Creative, Content, Communications, Social, Digital Product, Analytics, Ticket Sales, Membership, Corporate Partnerships, Stadium Operations, and Event teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
  • Translate organizational goals and revenue priorities into clear briefs, audience strategies, messaging frameworks, and channel plans that guide cross-functional execution.
  • Use audience insights, market trends, fan behavior, and performance data to inform strategy, evaluate results, and recommend improvements.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new products, major announcements, fan experiences, sponsorship priorities, and organizational initiatives across both brands.
  • Oversee external agency, vendor, and production partner relationships as needed, ensuring work is strategic, on brand, on budget, and aligned with objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the NFL, professional sports, live entertainment, digital marketing trends, Miami culture, and the competitive landscape.
  • Attend Miami Dolphins home games and major Hard Rock Stadium events, providing real-time marketing support and leadership across events.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Management, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience leading integrated marketing campaigns for a professional sports team, league, venue, live entertainment property, or comparable brand strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing people and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional campaign work and align multiple stakeholders around shared goals.
  • Experience developing marketing strategy that supports brand positioning, revenue objectives, and fan engagement.
  • Track record of delivering measurable results across brand, sales, and fan engagement objectives.
  • Deep understanding of brand marketing in a professional sports environment, including fan engagement, revenue growth, storytelling, sponsorship priorities, and long-term brand equity.
  • Proven ability to lead integrated campaigns across paid, owned, earned, social, digital, email, experiential, and in-venue channels.
  • Strong leadership, people-management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to set direction, develop talent, build trust, and align teams around shared priorities.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and creative judgment, with the ability to translate business goals into clear plans and evaluate messaging, design, content, and campaign concepts through a brand and business lens.
