MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

The Sr. Director, Marketing Analytics will stand up a new function within Global Marketing connecting key business insights, consumer trends, financial insights, and KPIs to brand and market strategies. This role will provide valuable insight for and drive long term strategic planning by increasing visibility of sales trends through regular reporting, analyses, and market research to the marketing strategy, innovation, and marcom teams to drive annual strategy development. They oversee all data sources from internal collection and industry market research, including ensuring validity of data and understanding scope and completeness. They provide increased visibility of consumer purchase trends through designing and training accessible reporting and tools and execute other regular analysis for strategic business questions. They develop product ambitions to size up opportunities and align with greater financial business goals and oversee ad hoc additional market research activity. Ultimately, ensuring all teams are driving to key metrics that will drive success and actions have measurable goals. This is a global department head and heavily cross functional role across all of marketing, finance, operations, and local markets.

Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proactively lead the department as a representative of Global Marketing driving thought leadership of how data and analytics can support the business, key strategics, and SVP initiatives.
  • Develop a reporting strategy for internal and external reports - including retail sales reporting, NPD / Beaute rankings, market share tracking, new launch performance, category mix of business, etc.
  • Partner with Sr Director, Global Marketing Strategy to support all long-term planning strategies and process
  • Partner with Marketing Strategy category leaders to support strategy development across products and promotions worldwide.
  • Develop Global Marketing scorecard for marketing performance metrics across all markets and drive KPIs on performance marketing in alignment with Director of MarComs
  • Support U.S. and China markets with market specific insights on both business, competitive, and performance marketing insights.
  • Create data visualization and story telling to support marketing presentations to executive leadership and LVMH Leadership
  • Provide a data driven point of view on ambitions for new products and promotions, overall categories, benefit territories and total business using insights from internal and external sources
  • Monitor sell in and sell through trends to provide on-going input on SKU productivity and portfolio management, bringing together global and regional teams to align on assortment strategy.
  • Proactively analyze the business in creative ways to provide business insights across categories, regions, retailers, and functions.
  • Spearhead bi-annual competitive pricing analysis and develop process for new product pricing and price changes to meet Global Finance business model needs.
  • Supervise market research efforts required to answer key business questions.
  • Partner with key cross functional leaders and Executive Team to provide analytics support as needed
  • Train global and regional teams on viewing and using new reporting and data visualization tool - Power BI.
  • Translate marketing and business needs into data requirements for IT systems teams.
  • Mentor and develop (2) direct reports to build functional, management and leadership skill sets

Physical Requirements:

You have:
  • 12-15 Years of Experience in analytics with multidimensional data sets, tools, interfaces and visualization and problem solving, performance marketing, ROI analysis and clear understanding of strategy building through data insights. Prior experience in management consulting or banking preferred.
  • Expertise in technical analytics and data visualization (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
  • Proven experience translating retail sales trends into thoughtful insights.

The salary range for this role is $195,000 - $245,000 USD.
