This role exists to serve as a trusted executive advisor who helps business leaders shape strategy, evaluate markets, optimize commercial models, and build supplier partnerships that accelerate organizational priorities across Information Services, helping craft and execute technology strategies through responsible procurement, market surveillance, supplier innovation, and sophisticated commercial negotiations.

Strategic Business Partnership
  • Serve as the principal commercial advisor to the Chief Information Officer and direct reports, translating enterprise technology priorities into executable sourcing, supplier, and commercial strategies.

  • Participate in strategic planning, portfolio reviews, and investment discussions before procurement activities begin to influence technology roadmaps and acquisition strategies.

  • Develop multi-year category strategies that balance innovation, cybersecurity, operational resiliency, and total cost of ownership.

Technology Strategy & Market Intelligence
  • Continuously monitor software, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, infrastructure, digital health, and telecommunications markets for emerging capabilities and supplier innovation.

  • Benchmark MUSC Health against leading academic medical centers and integrated delivery networks to identify modernization and optimization opportunities.

  • Provide executive leaders with actionable market intelligence, supplier assessments, pricing trends, and commercial recommendations.

Commercial Strategy Development
