Role SummaryWe are looking for a strategic, externally-facing leader who operates at the intersection of standards development, product strategy, ecosystem partnerships, and business development. This is not a traditional standards or architecture role - it's a role for someone who can hold a strong point of view on where identity is heading in the AI era, and represent that vision publicly on stages, with customers, and in strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate combines technical credibility with commercial instinct: comfortable in standards bodies, comfortable in front of customers, and comfortable in front of an industry audience.
Key ResponsibilitiesStandards Leadership- Actively contribute to relevant identity and AI standards efforts, and support other internal contributors participating in those bodies
- Help ensure the company's standards engagement reflects a coherent, forward-looking strategy rather than isolated participation
Strategic Partnerships- Develop and cultivate relationships with key ecosystem players to build joint reference architectures
- Guide and support the TAP team as they establish design partnerships and technical integrations with external organizations
Emerging Trends- Monitor and track activity across the identity and AI ecosystem
- Translate ecosystem signals into directional recommendations for the product team
Technical Evangelism- Represent the company externally as a leading voice on identity for AI
- Speak at industry events, conferences, and forums to build the company's reputation and influence in this space
Internal Evangelism- Drive internal alignment around reference architectures and standard design patterns
- Act as a bridge between standards work, product direction, and go-to-market strategy
What Makes This Role DifferentThis role is distinct from a pure Standards Architect position. It requires equal fluency in technical standards work and strategic/commercial partnership-building, along with the presence and credibility to be a public-facing voice for the company's point of view on identity in the AI era.
Compensation: $225,000-$332,000 base salary + bonus
In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
