Full Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Director, Healthcare Partnerships to develop and scale Oura's partnerships with health plans, health systems and virtual care companies. This is a highly strategic opportunity for a commercially minded builder. This is not a role for someone who wants to sell a mature, off-the-shelf program through an existing network. The person in this role will need to discover the problems that matter most to healthcare buyers, shape the right solutions with internal teams and partners, and create a repeatable path from early pilots to scaled commercial programs. You will own the full partnership journey: identifying and qualifying opportunities, developing the value proposition and business case, co-designing the solution, navigating complex contracting and implementation, launching programs, proving value, and expanding successful partnerships. You will be equally comfortable in a boardroom with health plan executives and in working sessions with product managers and clinical leaders. What You Will Do: • Market development • Define and refine Oura's ideal customer profiles across health plans, health systems and virtual care companies. • Engage with enterprise healthcare prospects where Oura's continuous wearable signals can improve patient engagement and care delivery, leading to improved health outcomes, greater patient satisfaction and reduced costs of care. • Map the healthcare buying environment including clinical, financial and technology stakeholders and identify the budget and business case behind each opportunity. • Turn market feedback into clear recommendations on program packaging, pricing, product priorities, and evidence requirements. • Balance near-term revenue with longer-term opportunities to establish Oura as a central part of healthcare delivery. • Create demand, sell, and close complex partnerships • Lead consultative, complex sales processes with senior executives at payers, providers, health systems, and digital or virtual care companies. • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of new business. • Translate Oura's consumer product and platform capabilities into buyer-specific value propositions and credible financial cases. • Develop business cases, pricing structures, and contracting strategies that align Oura's economics with partner outcomes. • Negotiate and close agreements involving commercial terms, implementation, data use, clinical responsibilities and program measurement. • Establish a disciplined feedback loop so partner learnings influence roadmap decisions without allowing every new opportunity to create a bespoke solution. • Build trusted, multi-year partnerships-not one-time transactions-to expand successful programs over time. • Launch programs and prove value • Partner with internal and external teams to move opportunities from concept to pilot to scaled deployment. • Define success criteria before launch including engagement, activation, clinical or behavioral outcomes, operational measures, healthcare utilization, financial impact, and partner satisfaction. • Work with Oura clinical outcomes, data science and partner teams to develop pragmatic measurement and evidence plans. • Review program performance, diagnose what is and is not working, and make clear recommendations on iteration, expansion, renewal, or discontinuation. • Convert early partnership learnings and proof points into repeatable offerings, implementation playbooks and referenceable case studies. • Lead cross-functional execution and market presence • Help shape Oura's point of view on how continuous health data can improve the quality, accessibility and efficiency of care. • Establish operating rhythms for pipeline review, partner prioritization, deal strategy, launch readiness and post-launch performance. • Create alignment and momentum across functions within the company. • Represent Oura at healthcare conferences, customer meetings, and industry forums as a credible voice on digital health, connected care and wearable technology. This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in San Francisco, Chicago, New York or Boston. What you'll bring • 8+ years of experience in digital health, healthcare technology, virtual care, healthcare services, or a closely related field, including substantial experience in enterprise partnerships or business development. • Extensive, first hand experience commercializing disease management, connected care, remote monitoring, or wearable-enabled programs. • You understand how buying decisions are made across health plans, health systems, provider groups and virtual care companies. • The ability to develop a compelling narrative for different audiences, from a chief medical officer or population-health leader to a CFO, procurement executive, product leader or care operations team. • A proven track record taking an early pilot through implementation, measurement, renewal, and expansion. • A thoughtful perspective on how wearable technology and continuous physiological and behavioral data can improve healthcare delivery, not just create another wellness experience. • Past experience at a company where priorities evolve quickly and resources are constrained. • A demonstrated record of closing complex healthcare partnerships and then helping make them successful after signature. • Experience building a new market, category, product, or partnership motion where the offering, buyer, pricing, or proof of value was not fully defined at the outset. • The judgment to distinguish a lasting commercial opportunity and the persistence to turn ambiguous feedback into a focused commercial and product strategy. • Strong fluency in healthcare economics and buyer priorities including member or patient engagement, care management, utilization, total cost of care, reimbursement and return on investment. • Experience working with clinical, product, engineering, legal, privacy, implementation, and outcomes teams to bring a complex healthcare offering to market. • Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills with the ability to bring clarity to complex situations and create alignment without relying on formal authority. • A highly accountable, analytical, and hands-on operating style. You are comfortable creating the strategy and doing the work required to test it. • What success looks like in the first 12 months • A focused market and account strategy that identifies the highest potential healthcare partners for Oura. • A qualified pipeline of strategic opportunities with clear next steps and business cases. • Initial partnerships that are well scoped, commercially sound, and designed to produce clear value for consumers and enterprise healthcare buyers. • Early programs that demonstrate measurable value for partners and members or patients, creating a credible path to renewal, expansion, and broader market adoption. • A repeatable learning system that translates partner discovery into sharper market positioning, packaging, pricing, product requirements, and implementation practices. Benefits At Ōura, we care about you and your well-being. Everyone here at Ōura has a ring of their own and we are continually looking to improve employee health. What we offer: • Competitive salary and equity packages • Health, dental, vision insurance, and mental health resources • An Ōura Ring of your own plus employee discounts for friends & family • 20 days of paid time off plus 13 paid holidays plus 8 days of flexible wellness time off • Paid sick leave and parental leave Ōura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Region 1 $170,000- $200,000 Region 2 $154,700- $182,000 Region 3 $139,400- $164,000 A recruiter can determine your Region based on your US location.
