Senior Director, Government & Regulatory Affairs, Brand Security and Integrity Group, Corporate Affairs This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. Job Description: The Senior Director, Government & Regulatory Affairs (GRA) and Brand Security and Integrity Group (BSIG), Corporate Affairs, leads an enterprise-wide function responsible for monitoring and analyzing laws and regulations, advocating for policy outcomes aligned with business priorities, ensuring compliance with external requirements, and advancing responsible business practices across Hewlett Packard Enterprise's global operations. This position sets strategic direction, aligns cross-functional priorities, drives execution, and ensures the function delivers measurable business impact. It requires strong business judgment, disciplined decision-making, and the ability to advise senior executives on issues affecting corporate strategy, risk management, regulatory positioning, stakeholder engagement, and long-term enterprise value. This executive leads work across strategy, regulatory affairs, brand security, market access, and stakeholder engagement. This role convenes senior leaders to assess risks and opportunities, shape HPE's response to external developments, and integrate regulatory and reputational considerations into business planning. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic counsel to senior executive leadership on enterprise priorities related to regulatory affairs, brand security, market access, operational risk, and stakeholder engagement. Lead cross-functional initiatives that align corporate strategy with external policy, regulatory, reputational, and commercial considerations. Monitor, assess, and influence regulatory developments that may affect HPE's business, operating model, market access, customer relationships, or long-term growth opportunities. Build and maintain executive-level partnerships across Corporate Affairs, Office of General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance Office, business units, regional teams, and other key functions to coordinate enterprise responses to complex issues. Develop clear, data-informed strategies that support growth, protect enterprise value, and strengthen the company's ability to anticipate and respond to external threats and opportunities. Drive initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, strengthen governance, and reduce business risk across areas of responsibility. Advise senior leaders on investment decisions, policy positions, stakeholder strategies, and risk mitigation approaches within the function's scope. Lead engagement with relevant external stakeholders, including industry groups, public-sector partners, community organizations, and other strategic audiences, as appropriate. Represent the function in senior-level forums and provide thought leadership on issues that affect the company's business environment, reputation, and strategic positioning. Create a performance-driven culture by setting clear priorities, developing talent, managing change, and ensuring the team delivers high-quality work aligned to enterprise objectives. Provides strategic advice to clarify, plan and monitor the growth of the company or business unit revenues and market share. Drives operational efficiency initiatives that improve the company's profitability Apply financial rigor and acumen to all initiatives that lead executive and company's business teams to shareholder value-based decisions Design and development of business models, market strategies or M&A activities for organizational effectiveness. Develop growth strategies for area of responsibility. Leads strategy and leadership teams in developing key and or difficult acquisitions/growth transactions and strategies. Demonstrates thought leadership by coaching and advising VP, SVP and other company executives. Provides business rational and risk assessment for making company investments in their area of focus. Build relationships and provide guidance to industry, community, press as appropriate. Creates a performance driven culture that ensures the company has the best strategic planning team in the industry. Balance short term with long term strategies and resource investment. Drives high-impact organizational and operational planning initiatives, including M&A projects. Influences C-level executives on a wide range of business issues, including risk management and implementation tactics. Provides innovative thought leadership and shapes the knowledge base within area of expertise. Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and departmental team performance goals and manages/drives change. Required Experience and Qualifications 10+ years executive leadership experience in a complex global organization, with responsibility for strategy, operations, risk management, regulatory affairs, corporate affairs, legal, compliance, market access, or a related enterprise function. Demonstrated ability to lead highly visible, cross-functional initiatives involving senior executives, business units, regional teams, and external stakeholders. Experience shaping business strategies that balance growth, operational efficiency, reputational considerations, regulatory obligations, and long-term shareholder value. Proven record of advising senior leaders on complex business issues, including external risk, stakeholder engagement, governance, and implementation strategy. Experience engaging with industry, public-sector, community, or other external stakeholders on matters of strategic importance. Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree (Master's and/or Juris Doctor) preferred.
