Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Director Global Supply Chain (SDGSC) serves as a key member of the PCC Fasteners Division Leadership Team. This leader will combine and integrate their expertise in material flow management with outstanding knowledge of information and financial flow, designing a metrics framework that drives the right behavior, and processes that deliver product availability at the lowest possible cost and working capital levels, ensuring operational efficiency.

The SDGSC works closely with all members from the Supply Chain team under the guidance of the Division President.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop Purchasing Plan and Strategy
  • Source Raw Materials or Services
  • Oversee Planning & Scheduling Process to Ensure Manufacturing Productivity and Efficiency
  • Coordinate Delivery and Supply Chain Logistics
  • Minimize Shortages and Keep Costs Down
  • Strategize to Improve Productivity, Quality, and Efficiency of Operations
  • Lead, Develop, and Mentor Site Supply Chain Teams
Essential Functions
  • Develop, deploy and implement global purchasing strategy to deliver maximum value, leverage and standardization
  • Negotiate supplier contracts with core factories to support critical business needs
  • Identify and execute total cost reduction opportunities
  • Lead and support cross function project teams as required to meet or exceed expectation on target costs and time
  • Track and report price, delivery, payment terms, supplier quality, claim processes, claim resolution management and other KPI metrics monthly
  • Purchase goods by securing price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategies by applying a wide range of sourcing tools (e.g. negotiation, e-procurement, strategic collaboration, tenders/RFPs etc.)
  • Implement supplier strategy/shape supplier base. Assess and develop suppliers in order to meet business needs and opportunities
  • Ensure effective risk management of the supply base through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs. Implement corrective actions as appropriate. Manage all related commercial, financial & ethical aspects of projects
  • Establish & maintain relationships with Finance directors, department directors (General Manager, plant manager, sales director, supply chain leader, etc.), and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge
  • Ensure compliance with policies, systems & controls
  • Provide market and financial insights and inputs to the internal sourcing planning process
  • Recommend and implement best practice for areas of responsibility
  • Works with other functions to support new product launches, line extensions, and execution of continuous improvement programs for indirect goods and services in scope for the role
  • Execute supplier performance reviews on a regular basis.
  • Develop & implement a continuous improvement action plan. Monitor changes and adjust the plan as needed to sustain performance results
  • Identifies and manages supplier collaboration initiatives (e.g. supplier owned inventory, forecast management, electronic invoicing, operational process streamlining, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other buying operation managers and drive continuous improvement to become more effective and efficient

Experience & Education
  • BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline.
  • MBA preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Planning and 5+ years leading supply chain planning for multiple business units in a high-volume high mix manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • May require up to 50% travel to different sites, suppliers, or customer locations, both locally and internationally.
  • Ability to move freely around the facility, including the warehouse, production floor, and office areas.
  • Walking and standing for extended periods, often on concrete or uneven surfaces.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying items, typically not exceeding 30 pounds.
  • Moving and positioning materials or equipment as needed.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including offices, warehouses, and manufacturing floors.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures, and the ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.


For informational purposes only, the range for annual base salary for this role is $180,000 to $225,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 30% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company's performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
