Full Job Description
The Senior Director, Global Marketing Operations is the dedicated owner of Marketing Operations at Dun & Bradstreet, leading the strategy, execution, and modernization of marketing operations across people, process, and technology. Marketing Operations is the foundation the rest of the marketing organization depends on: demand generation depends on the lead management system, digital depends on clean data moving between platforms, and Sales depends on continuous improvement in upstream lead quality. This role partners with Marketing, Brand & Communications (MB&C) team leads to accelerate campaign velocity, scale what works across regions, and hold execution to a standard of rigor that turns marketing activity into business outcomes.

Essential Key Responsibilities

  • Set and own the enterprise marketing operations and MarTech strategy, aligned to business goals and modernization priorities, including the marketing technology roadmap, platform selection, and rationalization of the stack.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning across marketing operations, maximizing efficiency and return on marketing investment.
  • Own strategic lead management end to end, moving the function beyond intake and service: set and own nurture strategy, lead scoring, and routing rules; own lead lifecycle processes, funnel stages, and campaign tracking; and enable Sales on how leads are handled and worked, partnering with Marketing
  • Analytics, Revenue Operations, and Sales stakeholders to align definitions and reporting.
  • Own a structured partnership with Sales on lead quality, running a continuous feedback loop that improves what lands with Sales and equips sellers to convert it.
  • Build and own Marketing AI Ops: the AI orchestration systems marketing functions run on, connected to the right data sources and governed with knowledge bases that keep agents current on messaging guides, brand guidelines, product naming, and strategy documents.
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to operationalize MB&C's multi-touch attribution framework, ensuring campaign, lead, and customer data are captured consistently and integrated across marketing and sales systems.
  • Own marketing data governance as a core accountability of this role: comprehensive policy frameworks, defined data standards, data quality and tracking requirements, and operational guardrails that enable reliable measurement, set in partnership with Legal, Privacy, and Technology and compliant with privacy, regulatory, and risk-management requirements
  • Establish and enforce operating standards across campaign intake, governance, SLAs, workflows, documentation, and operational dashboards, setting the team's operating rhythm and scaling consistent project and work management practices (Asana) across MB&C teams.
  • Serve as the central point for cross-functional campaign planning and delivery, aligning marketing teams to launch on strategy and on time with full coordination from brief through post-campaign optimization.
  • Partner with MB&C colleagues, Operating Units, Product, Technology, Sales, and Finance to streamline handoffs, resolve competing priorities, and reduce operational friction.
  • Own the operating relationship with vendors and contract resources, managing scoping, onboarding, service levels, and performance standards, and deploying contingent capacity against priority work so external delivery meets the same rigor as internal teams.
  • Manage, build, and lead a strong global Marketing Operations team, coaching and developing existing members, equipping them with the training and resources to own reporting and orchestration across their channels, and closing talent gaps where needed

Essential Skills and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business, communications, or arelated field
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in B2B marketing operations, working directly on an enterprise marketing technology stack (marketing automation platform, CRM, sales engagement, company and contact data, etc.)
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience, including managing managers and building teams of 10+ people; experience managing distributed and global teams
  • Demonstrated ability to design and scale operations organizations, including structuring teams and managing through ambiguity
  • Strong cross-functional influence across Marketing, Product, Technology, Sales, and business partners
  • Deep expertise in campaign operations, marketing automation, and analytics enablement
  • Strong point of view on how modern marketing teams should collaborate, document strategy, and apply technology
  • Demonstrated experience building AI orchestration and automation into marketing workflows, including governance, knowledge bases, and connected data sources; plus hands-on ownership of data governance policy and standards in partnership with legal, privacy, and technology teams
  • Strong understanding of marketing investment, budget management, and ROI measurement to inform prioritization and decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites Skills
  • Where applicable, fluency in English and languages relevant to the working market.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, speak and operate telephone and/or computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to handle pressure, stressful conditions, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work day, evening and/or weekend hours as needed
  • Regular attendance in the office
