Full Job Description
This role can be based in Washington, DC; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; or remotely.

About the Role

Own the systems, data, and processes that turn Morning Consult's marketing into pipeline - and make the function AI-native. You'll run HubSpot and Salesforce, lead routing to business development, lifecycle reporting, paid media measurement, and global consent.

This is a player-coach role: you'll manage a Senior Marketing Operations Specialist and stay hands-on. It sits in Business Operations with a dotted line to Marketing.

What You'll Be Working On
  • Strategy and budget. Set the roadmap, own the martech stack and budget, and plan targets and spend with Finance.
  • Operating rhythm. Run intake, prioritization, and weekly funnel reviews across Marketing, BizDev, and RevOps.
  • Lifecycle and routing. Own lifecycle stages, scoring, MQL/SQL definitions, and lead routing to BizDev, SLAs included.
  • HubSpot-Salesforce. Own the integration and data model so every lead lands with the right owner.
  • Reporting. Build lifecycle-stage funnel reporting and paid media attribution, and tell leadership where to shift spend.
  • Privacy and data quality. Own global consent (GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM) with Legal, plus enrichment, deduplication, and launch QA.
  • AI. Ship AI agents and automations across scoring, routing, enrichment, QA, and reporting. Own the AI roadmap and measure what it returns.
  • People. Manage and grow a Senior Specialist, and shape future headcount.

In Your First Year, Success Looks Like
  • Marketing, RevOps, Sales, and Finance all trust the funnel reporting.
  • Campaigns launch with clean tracking and reliable measurement in line with GTM strategy.
  • MQL, lifecycle, and attribution definitions are documented and used consistently.
  • Modern AI tools and marketing technologies are successfully deployed and integrated across the function.

About You and What You've Done:
  • 10+ years in marketing ops or a related function, with 8+ hands-on in marketing automation.
  • Must-have: deep HubSpot and Salesforce expertise, inclusive of
    • Process Builder
    • Understanding of APEX functions
    • Deployment and maintenance of custom objects for marketing use cases
  • B2B required, including a role at a post-Series B or C company (roughly 200-1,000 people) with a 30+ person sales team.
  • Proven owner of lifecycle ops, lead routing, and MQL-based reporting, working closely with BizDev or SDRs.
  • Experience supporting paid marketing, and running ABM or supporting enterprise selling.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and global consent.
  • You've managed people and owned a function, roadmap, and budget.
  • Strong project manager: you run multiple initiatives and switch context without dropping details.
  • You build with AI, not just use it. You've shipped agents or automations (Claude Code, Cursor, Clay, n8n, or similar) with measurable impact.
  • Forms, landing pages, UTMs, and tracking are table stakes.
  • Clear communicator who influences senior stakeholders with data.
