Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical AI solutions to automate manual workflows and set up a governance framework for AI in Finance.
  • Provide foundational technology enablement to other pillars in the Finance Process Innovation Enablement area.
  • Direct the migration of applications and data pipelines to cloud solutions, enhancing reporting capabilities.
  • Support finance teams in overcoming technical challenges related to data integration and system architecture.

The Sr. Director of Finance Process Innovation Enablement (FPIE) - Capabilities, Insights & AI Enablement is an elite, hands-on working leader who is a Finance Subject Matter Expert capable of establishing scalable frameworks for project management and business analysis from the ground up while personally executing and leading teams through complex technical initiatives to drive speed to insight following robust SOX compliance and SDLC. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team who provide foundational technology enablement across all FPIE pillars and finance functions-partnering seamlessly with business leadership, Process Improvement, Data Governance, and Process & Organizational Changes.

Beyond supporting internal FPIE pillars, you will provide deep technical leadership to maintain flawless and timely Month-End Close (MEC) operations, enforce strict SOX ITGC compliance and audit readiness, drive practical Finance AI Enablement & Governance, and support organizations across Finance (Accounting, Corporate FP&A, Treasury, Tax, FinOps) in resolving technical challenges.
  • Provide Deep Month-End Close (MEC) & SAP Stability: Provide deep technical and functional oversight for Month-End Close (MEC) operations, vSAP/1ERP transitions, database view promotions (Oracle, SQL, Snowflake), and system break-fixes, ensuring system enhancements never disrupt critical financial reporting cycles.
  • Enforce Compliance & SOX ITGC Governance: Lead the implementation of SOX ITGC controls, privacy guardrails, and reconciliation automation in partnership with E&Y and Enterprise Risk Management to guarantee audit-ready financial data across cloud and enterprise platforms.
  • Strategic Translation: Act as the primary interface between Finance, IT, and business units, translating complex manual finance problems into detailed Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) and Logical Models.
  • Drive Practical AI Enablement & Governance: Lead the end-to-end delivery of practical, high-value AI solutions to automate manual workflows across Finance. Establish and manage the Finance AI Governance framework alongside teams including Corporate CISO, Legal, and Data Governance.
  • Deliver Cross-FPIE Technology Enablement: Provide foundational data and tool enablement to empower other FPIE pillars (Process Improvement, Data Governance, Process & Organizational Changes).
  • Execute Critical Architecture Migrations: Personally direct and de-risk the high-priority technical migration of Qlik Sense applications and Talend data integration pipelines from on-premises servers securely to Qlik Sense Cloud and Talend Cloud.Direct the engineering of native Qlik Cloud P&L reporting models to systematically eliminate manual Excel compilations and retire third-party plugin dependencies (e.g., Vizlib).
  • Oversee GCP Medallion Architecture & System Replication: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) for eHana data. Manage technical integrations including Talend Cloud enablement and eHANA to GCP replication.
  • Support Partner Technical Roadblocks: Serve as a senior technical escalation lead that Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and FinOps teams can rely on when data integrations, legacy view promotions, or database views require architectural guidance.
  • SDLC Management: Advance and document a "right-sized" Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology tailored for finance reporting solutions.
  • Vendor Oversight: Manage complex vendor relationships, contracts (SOWs, DDQs, IRQs), eCAS approvals, and budget allocations (CapEx and OpEx).
  • Executive Reporting: Deliver high-level reporting on project status, value-focused KPIs, and technical risks such as network latency and security architecture.


What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or ten or more years of work experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in project delivery and business analysis with at least 7-10 years in leadership roles.
  • Deep knowledge of financial principles, Month-End Close (MEC) processes, and SOX compliance.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex requirements into actionable executive presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish AI enablement strategies and AI governance frameworks across corporate finance or enterprise business units.
  • Knowledge of Qlik Cloud Architecture, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Medallion architecture, and Talend Cloud data pipelines.
  • Willingness to travel.


Even better if you have:
  • Master's degree or MBA in Finance, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Technical or professional certifications in GCP / Cloud Architecture, Qlik Cloud, Talend, or CPA / CISA.
  • Experience with AI/LLM integrations (e.g., Gemini API, Qlik Answers, etc.).
  • Ability to drive results up and across a matrixed organization, managing both internal teams and external vendor engagements.


Where you'll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $183,500.00 - $352,000.00.
