Role Overview:

Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team provides strategic and financial partnership to EA's Leadership team. We achieve this through engaging with our partners to influence and help deliver our broad strategy, providing strategic decision support and insights to guide EA's performance.

This Sr. Finance Director will lead business support for our central EA Studios organizations, serving as:
  • An embedded and trusted senior advisor to Studio & Franchise businesses & teams; and
  • An experienced & demonstrated leader in the Global Finance organization, contributing to strategic functional initiatives and transformation.


Supported by a team of ~10 employees, you will report to the Vice-President of FP&A, EA Studios, while partnering closely with EA Studios central leadership. You will work a hybrid work model defined as 3 days a week in an EA office.

Responsibilities:

You will partner with senior leaders across the business, including our SVP / General Managers, Heads of Operations & Publishing, Executive Producers and their leadership teams to support all financial elements associated with the successful strategy execution of our central EA Studios organizations, including Central Development Partners (CDP), Central Technology and TRACAB. Additionally, this role will own consolidated EA Studios planning & reporting, portfolio & performance management, and investment prioritization to support organization-wide decision-making.
  • Business Partnership:
  • Partner closely with studio and finance leaders to drive the business and ongoing value creation & profitable growth. Provide actionable insights with a lens towards strategic execution and return on investments.
  • Manage the holistic health of our various & collective EA Studio business, including full P&L responsibility.
  • Lead the financial planning process, including the long-range, annual, and in-year planning cycles. Partner cross-functionally to develop& manage operating metrics that support financial planning.


  • Manage other recurring, enterprise processes on behalf of EA Studios, including title plan, investment prioritization & gating, management reporting.
  • Drive regular communications with President / Chief Studios Officer, COO EA Studios, and broader EA Studio Leadership Team to ensure connectiveness on activities above and facilitate alignment &key decision-making.
  • Establish and track performance measurements across all major offerings and projects.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial and decision support analysis in service of strategies & performance.
  • Serve as a leadership partner on behalf of EA Studios FP&A with other Finance teams / disciplines, including Enterprise & Experiences FP&A, Finance Transformation , Controllership .
  • Organizational Leadership:
  • Lead the team responsible for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes across central EA Studios, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute meaningfully at a leadership level to recurring, key Finance initiatives to evolve and improve our organization & impact.
  • Help lead & support EA Studios FP&A communications and recurring activities.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ or more years experience in senior finance roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience using modern ERP and FP&A planning platforms.
  • Experience utilizing AI and technology solutions to improve financial processes, analytics and decision-making.
  • A people leader invested in the team's success and building an inclusive environment.
  • Excels in a dynamic business environment and can resolve complex business issues.
  • Builds trust, diverse relationships, and can move beyond reporting to synthesis and insight.

Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$190,500 - $267,300 CAD

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$215,900 - $327,900 USD

* Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) *$203,600 - $276,300 USD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.

For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
