Google's infrastructure requirements extend past standard server compute resources. As our global products and services continue to expand, the Energy and Power team within Global Infrastructure and Energy (GIE) plays a critical role in anchoring the infrastructure necessary for Google's future.

In this leadership role within the Energy and Power team, you will leverage your market expertise alongside tech-sector insight to direct the long-term strategic evolution and management of our expanding global power infrastructure and energy supply portfolio. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partner groups, you will shape the near- and long-term roadmap for execution. Your focus will be on engineering pioneering, large-scale delivery solutions that establish a sustainable, responsible business framework, articulating this forward-looking vision directly to Tech leadership.

In this role, you will lead the long-term strategic design of our energy and power portfolio to align with business goals of scale, cost-efficiency, reliability, and supply decarbonization. You will serve as the bridge across Energy and Power and internal partner teams to develop and integrate multi-faceted portfolio design, ensuring that advanced technical solutions and long-term portfolio design solutions are integrated into planning workstreams and implemented across the broader portfolio.

You will work at the intersection of AI, infrastructure, and energy strategy to drive flexibility and efficiency into how our compute resources interact with the power grid, better enabling our infrastructure to scale rapidly alongside AI growth while meeting ambitious carbon-free energy goals. By leading complex program management and internal stakeholder engagement, you will ensure our energy portfolio is not only robust enough for today's demands but also dynamic enough to support the next decade of innovation.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $310000 - $431000 (USD) 40% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to define the optimal system design for power grids including market and technology frameworks and roadmaps
  • Work with internal partner teams to design and implement future energy portfolio operating frameworks that integrate new solutions and a longer-term outlook that support the scaling of AI infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with supply strategy and asset planning to identify inputs most critical to the long-term strategic direction of the portfolio.
  • Oversee design and program management of key portfolio goals including carbon-free energy.
  • Evaluate and challenge existing energy management methodologies to identify and implement structural changes that enhance scalability and cost-efficiency.
