As Senior Director of eCommerce Development (Mobile), you will drive engineering delivery and platform architecture for the mobile buy flow, connecting consumer and business experiences across the Spectrum ecosystem. Your vision will transform how customers engage with mobile commerce and contribute to Spectrum's ongoing success.

Required Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience

Experience
  • 5+ years managing engineering organizations of 30+ engineers across multiple product teams
  • 5+ years at director level or above, managing engineering managers or senior tech leads
  • 10+ years delivering large-scale consumer-facing web applications with high availability and performance requirements
  • 7+ years designing complex integration architectures including third-party APIs, carrier systems, device catalogs, or multi-system orchestration
  • 7+ years driving platform modernization and architectural transformation while maintaining delivery velocity
  • 7+ years operating in matrixed organizations with cross-functional products, design, and architecture partners

Skills
  • Strong architectural judgment across front-end, back-end, and API orchestration
  • Deep understanding of modern web application architecture including Angular, component-based frameworks, TypeScript, SCSS, RxJS, NgRx
  • Experience with Node.js backend orchestration, BFF patterns, API fan-out, session management, middleware orchestration
  • Integration expertise across backend systems including product catalogs, carrier integrations, device inventory, trade-in services, activation APIs, billing systems
  • Knowledge of mobile commerce product catalogs, plan configurations, BYOD compatibility, trade-in workflows, multi-line management, promotion engines
  • Experience with converged commerce architecture spanning multiple product lines
  • Platform scalability experience including design systems, component libraries, modular architecture, micro-frontends, API optimization
  • CI/CD pipelines, release management, blue/green deployments, feature flag strategies, branching strategies
  • Performance engineering expertise including page load optimization, API response time, payload optimization, caching strategies
  • Observability and monitoring for application performance and production health
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Familiarity with security practices for consumer-facing eCommerce
  • Ability to drive scalable engineering solutions without micromanaging
  • Navigating ambiguity in a rapidly evolving product space

  • Experience in telecom, cable, broadband, wireless, or mobile industries
  • Experience leading engineering organizations of 50+ engineers across multiple product surfaces
