Senior Director, Digital & Growth Marketing

As the Senior Director of Digital & Growth Marketing, you will lead the strategy, execution, and team driving our global digital performance engine. You will directly manage a high-performing paid media and web experience team, while overseeing a global portfolio spanning digital advertising, web strategy, and a unified digital discovery framework (SEO, AEO, and GEO). In this role, you are responsible for driving a predictable enterprise pipeline, scaling our digital footprint, and optimizing how technical and business buyers discover and engage with our technology an increasingly AI-driven digital landscape.

Goals:
  • Maximize Web Performance: Define and drive the experience strategy for our global web properties, turning them into high-converting environments for technical buyers and enterprise executives.
  • Drive Scalable Pipeline: Build an efficient, full-funnel digital engine that systematically lowers customer acquisition costs while accelerating high-intent enterprise pipeline.
  • Advance Organic Discovery: Establish our brand as the authoritative source across traditional search (SEO), conversational query engines (AEO), and generative AI platforms (GEO).
  • Lead and Grow Talent: Manage, mentor, and scale a team to build a world-class digital and growth marketing operation.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage and Lead the Team: Directly manage the internal paid media and web experience teams, establishing clear performance metrics, fostering professional development, and managing external agency relationships.
  • Manage Global Paid Media: Lead a team driving the strategic allocation and optimization of global paid media investments across paid search (Google Ads), paid social (LinkedIn), programmatic networks, and content syndication partners to maximize full-funnel enterprise ROI. Experience leveraging AI-driven tools to optimize targeting and bidding etc.
  • Drive Web Experience & Optimization: Drive the strategy for the corporate website. Lead your web team to define UX/UI frameworks, conversion rate optimization (CRO) testing roadmaps, and global localization needs, delivering clear business requirements to the web engineering team.
  • Partner with Engineering: Collaborate closely with the core web engineering team to ensure the underlying web architecture supports modern marketing requirements, fast page-load speeds, accurate tracking, and seamless workflows.
  • Lead SEO, AEO, & GEO Strategy: Continue to evolve our organic strategy to ensure our technical infrastructure and content are structured so that platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews easily index and cite our technology.
  • Execute Enterprise ABM: Partner with Field Marketing and Sales to launch targeted, high-precision digital media campaigns aimed at key enterprise accounts.
  • Analyze and Report Performance: Collaborate with Marketing Operations to deliver clear insights into channel efficiency and pipeline impact to executive leadership.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience & Scale: 12-15+ years of progressive marketing leadership within software, technology, or cloud services industries.
  • Global Leadership & Team Management: Proven track record of building, motivating, and directly managing high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams across global regions.
  • ABM & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success running global ABM campaigns aligned with sales goals, with the ability to influence senior leaders across product, brand, demand, and operations to drive win-win solutions.
  • Technical Web & Discovery Expertise: A strong foundation in technical SEO coupled with a strategic understanding of AI-driven discovery (AEO/GEO), alongside a history of partnering with technical engineering teams to manage web roadmaps.
  • MarTech & AI Fluency: Familiarity with enterprise systems across CRM/Automation (Salesforce/Marketo), LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and modern AI-driven optimization or analytics tools.
  • Creative Ideation: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to ideate innovative digital concepts and effectively brief creative teams for inspired, high-impact campaign execution.
  • Education: Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Hours:
  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

This position is open to Hybrid And Remote Work Locations.

The preferred locations for this position are:

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

There is a strong preference for Hybrid near a local office. However, we may be willing to consider remote candidates within the US.

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $209,560 to $288,000.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.
