The Senior Director, Corporate Strategy and Operations will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO, translating company priorities into clear operating plans and driving cross-functional execution across Etiome. This role will act as a coordination point across the executive team and between Etiome and Flagship, with immediate focus on financing, out-licensing, and in-licensing activities. The right candidate will be highly organized, action oriented, and comfortable operating at both the strategic and execution levels in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Execution & Business Operations
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to translate corporate strategy, portfolio priorities, and platform objectives into operating plans, budgets, staffing plans, and measurable business objectives.
  • Drive execution of the company's highest-priority strategic initiatives-including financing, out-licensing, and in-licensing-ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely delivery across functions.
  • Track progress against strategic and operational priorities, providing clear reporting, metrics, and executive-level insights to support decision-making.

Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the operational hub across the executive team and between Etiome and Flagship, preparing leadership discussions, driving follow-through on decisions, resolving bottlenecks, and aligning priorities across R&D, Platform, Finance, Strategy, HR, and external partners.
  • Build effective operating rhythms that improve planning, communication, execution, and organizational accountability.

Corporate Development & Partnerships
  • Support financing, business development, partnering, and licensing activities by coordinating cross-functional workstreams, developing analyses and presentation materials, and ensuring execution of key milestones.
  • Bring structure, urgency, and operational discipline to strategic transactions and external collaborations.

Executive Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, bringing sound business judgment, analytical rigor, operational discipline, and a strong bias for action to the company's highest-priority initiatives.
  • Anticipate organizational needs, proactively solve problems, and balance strategic thinking with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • 7-12+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, corporate development, executive operations, management consulting, or related leadership roles within biotech, life sciences, or other innovation-driven industries.
  • Demonstrated success translating strategy into operational plans and leading complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with experience supporting planning, budgeting, executive reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Hands-on operator with a bias for action who is equally comfortable developing strategy and executing against it.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting financing, business development, partnering, or in-licensing/out-licensing activities.
  • Background in life sciences, biotechnology, or other complex scientific operating environments.
  • Experience working directly with a CEO or executive leadership team in a high-growth company.
  • Strong analytical skills and a track record of bringing structure to complex, rapidly evolving work.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as both a strategic partner and hands-on contributor.

The salary range for this role is $217,000 - $275,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
