As
Senior Director, Business Property Finance, you will manage a fast growing, complex portfolio
~$1 billion in loans, while also serving as a trusted advisor to some of Canada's most sophisticated real estate operators. You will cover the entire Quebec region and lead a high-performing team (Director, Associate and an Analyst) and leverage BMO's full balance sheet capabilities, including capital markets, equity, subordinated debt, and hedging solutions.
What You'll Do- Manage and grow a large, sophisticated client portfolio while optimizing profitability and risk-adjusted returns.
- Lead business development initiatives and expand relationships with key industry clients and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic financing solutions across construction, operational, and long-term real estate assets.
- Lead credit underwriting, portfolio management, and risk oversight for complex transactions.
- Collaborate across Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, and Capital Partners to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Act as a sector expert, providing market insights and strategic advice to clients and senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated Associate, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, credit, and operational risk standards.
What You Bring - 10+ years of experience in commercial banking, real estate finance, corporate lending, or a related field.
- Proven success in business development, relationship management, and complex credit structuring.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate and alternative asset sectors.
- Experience negotiating transactions and working with legal counsel and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional financial analysis, risk management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
Salary:$86,000.00 - $160,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
