Full Job Description
HealthVerity's Partners vertical develops strategic and commercial relationships with industry-leading consulting, analytics, technology and financial services firms that focus on a wide array of healthcare and life sciences use cases. As Senior Director of Business Development, you will leverage your understanding of the intersection of financial services and real-world data - and relationships in this space - to set our go-to-market and product strategy, and drive commercial relationships with hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, investment banks, and channel partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead longer-range strategic planning for the financial services sector, including evaluation of go-to-market models and data/analytic product needs.
  • Identify and close enterprise data licensing opportunities with key accounts, as well as strategic relationships with channel partners.
  • Credibly present real-world solutions by leading product presentations, demonstrations, technical due diligence, and executive discussions.
  • Directly own all stages of opportunity development, from coordinating proposals to contract negotiations and execution.
  • Work cross-functionally with Real-World Data and Analytics, Product, Marketing, Solutions, Pricing, and Legal on solutions that solve internal and client challenges.
  • Establish team goals and ensure operational excellence across pipeline generation, forecasting, proposal quality, and cross-functional partnership.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required
  • Deep familiarity with the financial services sector as a whole, and in particular as it relates to real-world data needs.
  • Extensive functional experience in business development / sales as well as the formation and ongoing management of strategic partnerships.
  • Strong familiarity with the competitive landscape in this space.
  • Consistent track record of achievement of goals as a result of finding, developing, and sustaining strong client relationships.
  • Ability to translate HealthVerity offerings into an innovative value proposition, gain buy-in from senior-level stakeholders (internal and external).


Hiring Locations

Our main office is located in Center City, Philadelphia, where we operate on a hybrid model with in-office work required three days a week for local employees. We believe collaboration is most effective when teams come together, which is why we prioritize hiring in the Philadelphia area.

For certain roles, we also hire from hub locations-regions where we have an established presence with multiple team members working remotely. While these employees primarily work from home, we bring them together in person at least once a year for team-building, collaboration, and strategic planning.

Due to tax and labor regulations, we can only hire from specific states. Remote work is supported in the following key hub locations and approved states:
