Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD) is looking for a full-time Information Technology (IT) Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/APPSW), GG-2210-13 to serve as the Senior Digital Information Technology Specialist and technical expert for Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Unified Platform Branch (HNCP) at JB San Antonio - Lackland, Texas. Relocation expenses will be paid. Recruitment incentives may be available based on experience. Salary Range: $132,751 - $181,428 per year based on experience. Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. Qualifications/Requirements: In this role, you will serve as a senior information technology (IT) specialist and technical expert within the HNCP Branch. U.S. Citizenship (Required) This is a designated Drug Testing Position Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Top Secret" security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Must be able to obtain and maintain the required level of Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification within 9 months of assigned duties. The employee is required to file a Confidential Financial Disclosure report upon appointment and annually thereafter. Must be able to obtain and maintain Department of Defense (DoD) Cyberspace Workforce Framework Foundational qualification within 9 months of assignment; resident qualifications within 12 months of assignment. Required Core Competencies: Digital & Emerging Technologies: Advanced technical knowledge of software and other various digital technology systems, such as cyber, cloud, platform, data, and artificial intelligence. Systems Analysis & Software Development: Knowledge of technology systems analysis and applications software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate new and emerging IT security methods and principles, the feasibility of proposed new systems and applications software projects; and to design, write, test, debug, and maintain information systems and applications software and ensure successful integration with existing and anticipated infrastructure in the database environment. DoD & Platform Policies: Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force policies and procedures, guidelines, directives, and techniques related to software and technology system platforms. Technical Communication: Ability to clearly and effectively discuss and present program objectives, managerial tasks, and technical information verbally and in writing to management and professional personnel at all levels within the DoD and other government agencies within timelines prescribed by regulation or management. Acquisitions & Budgeting: Ability to identify requirements for contracting and budget proposals for IT acquisitions.
