Job Summary:We are seeking a Senior DHCP Migration Engineer to lead and manage a complex migration project from ISC DHCPD servers to ISC KEA within a Linux-based environment. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical knowledge in DHCP, automation tools, and monitoring platforms, and demonstrate the ability to manage both technical execution and a small project team.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead the migration from ISC DHCPD to ISC KEA DHCP servers in a Linux environment
- Design and configure KEA DHCP server, including lease storage and database tuning
- Automate DHCP deployments and configuration using scripting tools and Ansible
- Integrate monitoring and reporting solutions using STORK, Kibana, Grafana, and Zabbix
- Troubleshoot complex DHCP issues, including HA configurations and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Provide technical mentorship to team members and lead by example
- Document configurations, procedures, and best practices throughout the migration lifecycle
Required Skills:- Strong experience with ISC KEA DHCP: configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of ISC DHCPD and legacy environments
- Proficiency with Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
- Experience with databases used in KEA lease storage and performance optimization
- Skilled in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like STORK, Elastic/Kibana, Grafana, Zabbix
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in DHCP and network service environments
Preferred Skills:- Prior experience leading infrastructure migration projects
- Familiarity with high-availability and failover configurations in DHCP services
- Experience with project planning, task assignment, and timeline management
