Position Description:
CGI Federal is seeking a Senior DevSecOps/CICD Engineer to support secure automation, deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-based delivery for a major federal modernization program. This role enables rapid, reliable, and secure deployment of mission-critical applications and services across AWS and on-prem environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with Full Stack Engineers, Cloud Engineers, QA Automation, and Product teams to ensure modern DevSecOps practices are fully integrated into program execution.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
DevSecOps Pipeline Engineering
• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments
• Implement secure DevOps practices including dependency management, artifact control, and automated vulnerabilities scanning
• Maintain versioning, branching strategies, and build automation across multiple repositories
Cloud & Infrastructure Automation
• Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
• Support environment provisioning, configuration management, and orchestration of deployment workflows
• Integrate logging, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms into cloud and hybrid systems
Security Integration & Compliance
• Embed security gates, code quality checks, and compliance validations directly into CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure adherence to federal security requirements for classified environments
• Support automated compliance reporting, artifact tracking, and audit readiness
Cross-Team Collaboration
• Work closely with Full Stack Engineers, Cloud Engineers, QA Automation Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product Leads
• Participate in sprint activities, backlog refinement, technical planning, and integration reviews
• Support troubleshooting efforts for deployment issues, environment instability, or automation failures
Operational Support & Optimization
• Monitor pipeline performance and reliability; identify improvements to increase throughput and reduce manual steps
• Document pipeline processes, IaC templates, and deployment procedures
• Support readiness checks and deployment events for major releases
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• • Must have an Active Top Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD engineering, or secure automation roles
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and secure development practices
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting DOJ, FBI, Intelligence Community, or national-security programs
• Familiarity with microservice architectures, serverless frameworks, and distributed systems
• Experience implementing automated security scanning (SonarQube, Snyk, Anchore, Twistlock, Nessus)
• Knowledge of Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation scripting
