Position Description: The Senior DevOps Engineering consultant designs, implements, and supports the automation required to deliver secure, repeatable, and reliable software releases across the program.
This role plays a key part in environment automation, pipeline design, Kubernetes support, and infrastructure as code patterns while collaborating closely with engineering, architecture, and operations teams.
This role is part of an AI first software engineering organization where Artificial Intelligence is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience leveraging AI to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes using modern AI assisted development practices.
Your future duties and responsibilities: .Design, implement, and maintain DevOps automation that supports secure, reliable, and repeatable delivery.
.Build and support CI/CD pipelines, environment configuration, and deployment orchestration for cloud native solutions.
.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns to automate environment provisioning and configuration.
.Support container platforms and Kubernetes based deployment models.
.Partner with engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams to improve release velocity and control.
.Establish and maintain build, release, and pipeline standards, including automated validation and rollback support.
.Promote AI assisted engineering practices and the BMAD framework across delivery teams.
.Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, and platform issues while improving operational robustness.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: .8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
.Strong hands on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
.Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud native application delivery.
.5+ years of hands on experience using modern software engineering and DevSecOps toolchains, including VS Code, GitLab, JFrog Artifactory/Nexus, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), OpenShift Pipelines/Argo CD, and SonarQube.
.Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
.Hands on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or equivalent).
.Experience with configuration management, environment automation, and deployment orchestration.
.Demonstrated experience working within an AI enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC), leveraging AI assisted development tools to improve software engineering productivity, quality, testing, documentation, and delivery outcomes.
.Experience using the Business Model Assisted Development (BMAD) framework or comparable AI native delivery practices.
.Strong understanding of DevSecOps, security automation, monitoring, observability, and operational best practices.
.Excellent troubleshooting, automation, collaboration, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
.Experience supporting large scale enterprise modernization or cloud migration programs.
.Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Argo CD, or similar platforms.
.Experience with container security, secrets management, and cloud governance.
.Experience designing highly available, mission critical cloud platforms.
.Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or DevOps certifications.
.Experience within highly regulated industries.
.Experience leveraging AI assisted DevOps tools to improve automation and operational efficiency.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
