DescriptionPosition SummaryMiddle River Power is seeking a Senior Development Analyst to support the development and execution of conventional, renewable, and hybrid power generation projects across the full project lifecycle. This role will serve as a key analytical partner to the development team, leading financial modeling, market analysis, project valuation, and strategic decision support for a growing portfolio of generation assets.
The Senior Development Analyst will work closely with development, commercial, finance, engineering, legal, and executive leadership teams to evaluate new opportunities, advance active projects, and support investment decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong financial and analytical capabilities, experience in energy infrastructure or project development, and a genuine interest in the evolving energy sector.
Key Responsibilities• Lead project-level financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis to support development and investment decisions.
• Evaluate project economics, financing structures, and commercial opportunities across a portfolio of generation assets.
• Conduct market, regulatory, interconnection, and permitting analysis to assess project viability and risks.
• Support project advancement through coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Monitor power market, policy, and industry developments and provide strategic recommendations.
• Prepare presentations, investment materials, and executive-level reporting to support key business decisions.
• Support development, acquisition, and strategic growth initiatives across the MRP platform.
Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy, or a related field.
• 4-7+ years of experience in power generation, project development, project finance, infrastructure investing, or energy markets.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar analytical tools preferred.
• Strong understanding of project economics, power markets, interconnection, permitting, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Work LocationTo foster a collaborative culture, we aim to place roles within one of our office locations. In some cases, we may create remote roles when it makes sense for business. Frequency and location of travel for team meetings and job duties will vary by role. MRP is an in-office 4 days a week organization.

Base salary ranges are designed to be competitive by market and take into consideration individual experience, technical skills and long-term career growth. Each employee is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on their level and company annual performance metrics.

Pay Range $110,000.00 Annually to $115,000.00 Annually
