Benevity's Technology Operations group builds and runs the platforms our internal teams rely on every day. We're looking for a Senior Developer, Infrastructure & Integrations, to own the infrastructure, governance, and lifecycle behind the tools our teams build in-house. Reporting to the Manager, Business Applications, you'll take end-to-end ownership of our internal application estate - development, hosting, access control, versioning, security, and ongoing maintenance - and set the standards that keep it secure and supportable as it grows. What you'll do: • Build and run a dedicated AWS environment for internal, non-customer-facing applications using managed services including S3, CloudFront, API Gateway and IAM. • Own the deployment path - source control and versioning release, rollback and monitoring. • Define and manage role-based access tiers for hosted applications, and enforced consistently through Okta. • Build and maintain an inventory of internally built applications, including those developed outside a formal process, and assess each for data exposure and access risk. • Own vulnerability remediation across the internal application estate, - tracking, prioritization and closure against agreed timelines. • Develop and maintain internal applications where needed • Start from business outcomes, not solutions - own the technical design, challenge solution-first requests, and validate assumptions before building. • Set and own our integration standards - including our approach to MCP - defaulting to vendor-provided servers, using established open-source options where there's a real gap, and building custom only with a substantiated reason. • Build and maintain a reusable integration layer between internal applications and our systems of record (Jira, Zendesk, NetSuite,Salesforce, etc). • Assess inherited internal applications and decide, for each, whether to keep, migrate or retire it. For the ones we keep, take ownership - patching, credential rotation, cost and access reviews - and execute the retirements for the rest. • Partner with AI Enablement and our AI champions on tool hosting, and keep stakeholders and leadership informed on estate health - inventory, vulnerabilities, and migration progress. • Build working depth in our integration platform (Workato) and data platform (BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Tableau), acting as a second set of hands on systems that currently have a single owner. What you'll bring: • 6+ years of software development or cloud infrastructure experience, with hands-on production ownership of an AWS environment. • Practical depth in AWS managed services (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, IAM), with a preference for low-operational-overhead solutions. • Experience implementing SSO and identity-based access control at the edge rather than in application code - ideally with Okta. • Strong development fundamentals: source control, environments, versioning, rollback, and documentation. • Experience with security and compliance in a SaaS environment - audit trails, sensitive-data handling, and closing out vulnerabilities on a schedule. • Demonstrated experience integrating enterprise SaaS systems through APIs, with enough familiarity with MCP to evaluate a vendor's implementation. • Sound judgment about what not to build - able to recommend a vendor or open-source option over custom development. • Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Workato, or governed low-code builders is a plus. • A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
