Position: Senior Developer, Dynamics & Power Platform

Location: WWF-Canada Head Office - Toronto, Ontario

Reporting to: Senior Manager, CRM Business Analyst

Position Type: Permanent, Full-time

Starting Salary: $82,000 to $88,000 annually (commensurate upon related experience and skills)

Position Description

The Senior Developer, Dynamics & Power Platform (internally known as Senior Specialist, Dynamics & Power Platforms), implements and troubleshoots systems enhancements, customizations, and integration projects to optimize Mission CRM (Dynamics 365) to support our organizational goals. The Senior Specialist conducts routine audits to ensure data security, hygiene, accuracy and integrity. The role continuously seeks new approaches, tools, processes and customizations to enhance the value and insights from Mission CRM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve complex issues by liaising with internal staff and external vendors, as related to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Lead Mission CRM data integration, import and export processes and tools to facilitate seamless data flow across systems, ensuring data integrity and governance.
  • Leverage technical expertise in Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to design and build Mission CRM solutions & customizations to meet strategic organizational needs.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to recommend new tools and methodologies, and/or implement modifications of business processes leading to system efficiencies.
  • Conduct routine data audits to ensure data hygiene, accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop intimate knowledge of WWF-Canada's business processes and system integrations.
  • Plan, track, support and implement new Dynamics 365 & Mission CRM feature rollouts, updates, enhancements & patches, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and minimizing risks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation on system configurations, processes, and protocols.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications, including data protection, user access management, and adherence to industry and organizational standards.
  • Work closely with other members of the Technology department to implement robust data security measures and disaster recovery plans to protect sensitive data assets and ensure business continuity.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, enhancing their understanding and efficient use of the platform.
  • Learn and research advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Assist the Technology team, as required, with other related duties contributing to the mandate and successful operation of the department and organization.


What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ of active Dynamics 365 administration experience in a business setting.
  • Knowledgeable in Dynamics configuration and customization.
  • Progressive experience in using:
    • Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Insights)
    • Power Platform (PowerApps Portal, Canvas and Model Driven Apps, Power Automate)
    • Microsoft Dataverse Common Data Service
    • Azure Data Lake
    • XRM toolbox
    • SQL
    • SSRS reporting
    • Familiarity with Javascript
  • Non-profit experience preferred or a demonstrated understanding of common nonprofit industry standard business practices supported by Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Able to define and manage data models in Microsoft Dataverse with an eye for optimization.
  • Experience with integrating Dynamics 365 with other systems using tools such as Microsoft Graph API, Power Automate Connectors.
  • Experience creating workflows that integrate various services, including Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Familiar with Dynamics 365 reporting from views/dashboards to PowerBI, and able to learn/implement how Fabric extends reporting on these records up to the organizational level.
  • Strong aptitude for use of technology, training, and coaching of end users & subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Experience in business process analysis and systems documentation and writing.
  • Self-starter, strong problem solver, naturally curious and a willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Able to work in a hybrid (work from home and office) work environment with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal & external stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and manage workgroups to facilitate consensus building and decision-making.
  • Ability to create innovative and alternative solutions as appropriate.
  • Strong project management, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with First Nations Principles of OCAP, BC First Nations Data Governance Initiative, or other similar data sovereignty guidelines an asset.

Other Information

  • This Senior Specialist will need to be available to work occasional evenings and weekends to provide technology support at events, implement system updates, etc.
