Responsibilities
The Senior Desktop Engineer serves as a highly skilled individual contributor responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise desktop management solutions. This role provides advanced technical expertise and owns critical endpoint services while mentoring junior engineers and supporting strategic technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain endpoint management solutions within SCCM and Intune.
- Own enterprise endpoint technologies including operating system deployment, software packaging, patch management, virtualization technologies, and endpoint configuration management.
- Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts. Primarily for Windows Enterprise.
- Deep understanding of how group policies impacts endpoints and how future implementations need to be rolled out
- Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions.
- Create engineering standards and operational documentation.
- Support vulnerability remediation and endpoint security initiatives.
- Participate in architecture discussions and project planning.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with application owners to package and deploy complex or robust applications.
- Support specialized environments including engineering workstations and virtual machines.
- Provide technical mentoring and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of desktop engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows endpoint management platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and automation skills.
- Experience leading technical initiatives without direct management responsibilities.
