Senior Design and Analysis Engineer (Electrical Systems Design)

The Boeing Company is hiring for a Senior Design and Analysis Engineer (Electrical Systems Design) located in Hazelwood, MO

  • Effectively work on a diverse team that partners with customers both internal to Boeing as well as external
  • A willingness to learn. We're a team with lots of domain experts to learn from. You will also interact with engineers in multiple disciplines outside of electrical engineering
  • Apply general knowledge of electronic/electrical systems or subsystems and components including operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces


Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
  • Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
  • Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Oversees the team that monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
  • Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs
  • Makes recommendations for technology investments


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • A final Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.


This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • Level 4 (Senior): 9+ years of work-related experience with a bachelor's or 7+ years of work-related experience with Masters or 4+ years with a PhD
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher (Active within last two years)

Successful candidates for this job must satisfy Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Education: Level 4 (Senior): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
