Full Job Description
Reporting to the Director of the Engineering Audit Bureau (EAB), this position serves as the Deputy Director of the Engineering Audit Bureau; supervises and conducts audits of payment vouchers for construction, equipment and related consultant service contracts in compliance with contractual requirements, Comptroller's Directives, and audit standards and timelines; Reviews Design & Construction Contract Change Orders; coordinates with the EAB Director to establish procedures and policies for EAB staff to monitor for compliance with standards and recommended controls for corrective actions; preserves the integrity of the payment process by ensuring that work performed or goods received are in accordance with specifications and industry standards, PPB Rules, and applicable State and Federal regulations; directs a staff of engineering, accounting, analytical and clerical employees performing duties related to the above functions; performs related managerial duties including, but not limited to, preparing status/management reports, attending various meetings with division personnel, and providing performance evaluations for EAB staff. **TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION CANDIDATE MUST BE PERMANENTLY SERVING IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE ENGINEER TITLE, OR BE REACHABLE ON THE MOST CURRENT ADMINISTRATIVE ENGINEER EXAM LIST.** ADMINISTRATIVE ENGINEER - 10015 Qualifications 1. A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer and six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
