Responsibilities
Utilize statistical mechanics to apply data science techniques to analyze and mine product data, and to identify potential correlations and trends. Design and conduct user research and user experience testing to gain an understanding of user needs and behaviors, and to optimize the user experience. Build user behavior models, predict user needs and behavior patterns, and provide insights for product decision-making. Design and conduct AB test experiments to validate the effectiveness of product features and designs, and to provide recommendations for improvement. Design and develop data visualization tools based on optics, image processing knowledge, and skills, to present product data in an intuitive and easily understandable manner to the team and stakeholders. Communicate and collaborate with engineers and other team members in various departments.
Qualifications
Qualifications Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Using SQL queries and data visualization tools to gather, process, visualize, and analyze large quantities of data to detect trends and anomalies in support of business opportunity identification; Designing A/B tests, conducting statistical analysis, and interpreting A/B test results to provide insights for product features; Creating, maintaining, and delivering reports using Excel, and developing, validating, and maintaining metrics to manage and evaluate business performance; and Designing and maintaining dashboards using visualization tools to visualize key data and insights, track key performance indicators, and provide self-service tools to stakeholders. The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $275850 - $292600 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
