Overview
As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will be working on generating insights from raw data, designing and deploying models, and developing strategies to use model that impact all areas of Attain Finance, including credit risk, fraud, collections, and marketing. You will join a team of data scientist professionals responsible for building and supporting models, conducting analysis, wrangling data, and presenting results to the leadership team. You will leverage deep knowledge of statistics and machine learning models to help solve complex problems with creative solutions and cutting-edge data science techniques.

Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of statistical and machine learning model development, utilize cash flow, bureau, or marketing data to develop tool to drive the business, from data exploration, model design, algorithm testing and design, development and deployment, strategy design and monitoring in production
- Improve efficiency in various areas of the business, including credit risk, fraud, marketing, and collections by deploying modeling solutions and helping stakeholders develop strategies to use them optimally
- Work with Legal and Compliance on model review and approval and to satisfy governance requirements
- Conduct regular model performance tracking and monitoring, and provide recommendation on model upgrade or retirement
- Explore datasets, looking for insights, performing analysis, and comparing lift between models using different data
- Engage with cross-functional team to translate business questions into statistical and machine learning solutions
- Summarize your findings and results clearly and concisely to inform stakeholders
- Research and develop new methods and tools that can potentially improve the business
- Adhere to quality assurance standards, documentation standards, using version control, and code repositories
Qualifications
- BS or higher in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, mathematics, qualitative social science, operation management, finance, physics) or equivalent working experience
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience with data science and statistical modeling
- Strong machine learning and statistics track record and expertise on Regression Methods, Classification Methods, Clustering, Neural Networks, Unsupervised Learning Methods, GBM, Xgboost Etc.
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, SnowFlake, Git
- Solid analytical skills and an understanding of how to utilize data to target improvements, solve problems, and provide data-driven insights
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate analytical efforts to business results
- Strong organization skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with minimal Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
Base Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 USD
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
