Full Job Description
The Sr. Data Insights & Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in advancing our provider accurate coding & documentation accuracy strategy across Government Markets. This position supports provider education and insights designed to help primary care practices understand the impact of accurate clinical documentation and coding on patient care, quality outcomes, and health plan performance. Working closely with Population Health, provider partners, team members, and executive leadership, this individual serves as the primary owner of the program's data infrastructure, analytics, reporting, and dashboard development. The role transforms complex claims and clinical data into actionable insights that drive provider engagement and support data-driven decision making. As a key contributor to an evolving program, the analyst will have significant opportunity to innovate, identify new performance measures, and develop creative approaches to visualizing and communicating insights to healthcare providers and senior leaders

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Conducts data analysis for a variety of analytic solutions for leaders, stakeholders, and primary care providers. Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements. Create and produce reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc.
• Interprets data, analyzes results, and provides insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities.
• Must be able to apply critical thinking and analysis to the data and reports that are collected.
• Collaboratively works to solve complex problems.
• Tracks Key Performance Indicators and have the ability to understand why metrics are performing the way they are.

Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Business, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related professional work experience.
• Advanced SQL knowledge level.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project knowledge level.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of intellectual curiosity. Enjoys digging in on key questions and finding new ones to answer. Generates immense self-fulfillment from drawing key insights from data.
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and in documented formats. Able to creatively present data insights in a comprehensive, concise, logical, and easily digested format.

Preferred:
• Master's degree in related field
• 6+ years of experience within the health care industry
• Knowledge of claims-based analytics
• Experience with statistical or programming software (SAS, Python, or R)
• Experience with Business Intelligence tolls (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
