POSITION: Senior Data Engineer

LOCATION: 6555 State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039

JOB DUTIES: Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines to support various data-driven initiatives using Databricks and Azure Data Factory. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to the development of data architectures. Work on data integration projects, ensuring seamless and optimized data flow between systems like Snowflake, Salesforce, and SAP BW. Implement best practices for data engineering, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance. Contribute to data modernization efforts by leveraging cloud solutions and optimizing data processing workflows. Demonstrate technical leadership by staying abreast of emerging data engineering technologies and implementing industry best practices. Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Promotions to different environments using GitHub CICD with GitHub Actions. Participate in the evaluation and identification of new strategies for steady and streamlined portal. Working on Azure Blob Storage for storing data, Logic apps for sending job runs email and Azure Key Vault for storing secrets. 100% telecommuting allowed from any location in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or a related field.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related field.

Applicant must have four (4) years demonstrated experience in each of the following:

  • SQL: Writing complex queries to debug and fix application related issues.
  • Java: Using programming language for building pipelines and data transformation for the existing application.
  • Python, Scala: Building new and enhancing existing application.
  • MySQL: Writing queries, investigating, and fixing data issues associated with application.
  • ETL/ELT Development: Designing, building, and orchestrating pipelines.
  • Data Modeling: Working with snowflake schema, normalization/denormalization, dimensional modeling.
  • CI/CD: Continuous integration and deployment for automating build, testing and releases using GitHub Actions.
  • Talend: Comprehensive ETL platform for building, transforming, and integrating data pipelines from various sources.


Applicant must have two (2) years demonstrated experience in each of the following:

  • Databricks: Unified analytics platform for large scale data processing, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Azure Data Factory: Orchestration and ETL tool for automating data workflows and integrations across systems.
  • PySpark: Distributed Data Processing framework for transforming and analyzing large datasets in parallel.
  • AWS: Object Storage Service for scalable, cost-effective data storage and retrieval.
  • Azure: Blob Storage for storing data, Logic Apps for sending notifications, Key Vaults for storing secrets, resource groups, IAM and user management.


OFFERED WAGE: $156,998 - $184,400/year
