Your role as Senior Data DeveloperWe are seeking a product-oriented Senior data developer to help us deliver more value with our growing data product catalogue.
In particular, we're interested in candidates with experience working on structured data mart modelling in a cloud-based data warehouse.In this role, you will collaborate closely with data analysts, full stack developers, product/project managers and software developers to understand business requirements and translate them into robust and scalable data product features. You will work within an agile framework, emphasizing rapid iteration and deployment while maintaining high standards of code quality and data integrity.
What you'll be doing- Develop and maintain our data warehouse modelling, optimizing it for utility, extensibility, and performance across staging, intermediate, and mart layers, transforming raw source data into curated, well-documented datasets ready for external client reporting and statement of work reporting using dbt and Snowflake
- Implement robust observability for data pipelines-structured logging, data quality checks, freshness monitoring, and alerting-to ensure shared data is accurate and trustworthy
- Develop and own batch and event-driven data pipelines (Snowpipe, EventBridge) that power eligibility management, engagement reporting, and care reimbursement.
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions to ensure high-quality maintainable data products
- Champion data governance and privacy practices, including anonymization standards and access controls.
We'd love to hear from you if you have- At least 3 years of meaningful experience in a data or engineering role, with a strong interest in all things data
- Have experience with data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions, star schema) and building well-structured transformation layers in dbt and Snowflake .
- Familiarity with BI as code tools and Product-oriented thinking with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into data models ready for consumption in BI tools
- Interest in team collaboration and knowledge sharing. You enjoy contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and ideas to your colleagues
- Understand data governance, anonymization techniques, and the sensitivity required when handling health data in a regulated environment.
- Care about reliability and correctness as much as velocity, and enjoy building systems that are simple, maintainable, and measurable.
