The Job

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven analytic solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with business leaders to transform complex healthcare claims data into actionable insights, compelling visualizations, and executive-level reporting that improve operational performance, member outcomes, and business results.

The ideal candidate combines strong healthcare operations analytics expertise with exceptional communication skills, a passion for storytelling through data, and a curiosity for emerging AI technologies.

You Will:
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards, reporting solutions, semantic data models, AI-enabled applications, and analytical products using Power BI, AI technologies, Snowflake, and other business intelligence platforms.
  • Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and operational teams across functions including Enrollment, Grievances & Appeals, Claims Operations, Provider Data Management, Workforce Management, and other business areas to understand business objectives, operational challenges, regulatory requirements, and performance goals.
  • Lead business process discovery, and solution design sessions by documenting and analyzing current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, operational procedures, and user needs. Convert business needs into clear functional and technical requirements that support application development, process automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Partner with business owners to define, standardize, and govern enterprise metrics, KPI definitions, business rules, reporting methodologies, and data governance standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across executive, operational, and departmental reporting.
  • Develop and maintain semantic data layers, analytical models, and governed reporting structures that establish trusted, reusable, and scalable data assets while supporting enterprise-wide business intelligence and AI capabilities.
  • Analyze complex healthcare claims, operational, workforce, and provider datasets to identify trends, risks, root causes, opportunities, and performance improvement recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Build, optimize, and support data pipelines, data integrations, queries, and analytical processes utilizing SQL, Python, Snowflake, and related technologies while ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Create and deliver executive dashboards, operational reports, visualizations, and data stories that effectively connect strategic objectives, key performance indicators, and frontline operational performance to support data-driven decision making.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and business insights to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership, driving adoption of analytics solutions and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a hands-on, results-oriented approach by proactively leading initiatives from concept through implementation, evaluating emerging analytics, AI, and automation technologies, collaborating across teams, sharing knowledge, solving complex business problems, and supporting departmental goals and other assigned responsibilities while maintaining availability during standard Pacific Time (PST/PDT) business hours.


Your Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of Healthcare Analytics, Claims Analytics, Payor, or Health Plan Operations experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with: SQL, Power BI, Snowflake and Python
  • Experience working with QNXT claims administration systems.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Experience with Business Process Documentation
  • Experience developing applications using Streamlit.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered analytics, machine learning, natural language interfaces, or generative AI solutions.
  • Experience with querying and manipulating data structures in on-premises or cloud data warehouses (SQL, Snowflake, Databricks), as well as report creation and data visualization tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience with Streamlit, Databrick Genie, Cortex Code, Alteryx and Python is preferred.

Analytics & Technical Skills
  • Advanced SQL development and data analysis skills.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake data platforms and cloud-based analytics environments.
  • Advanced Power BI dashboard development, data modeling, and visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting.
  • Understanding of healthcare claims lifecycle, operations, and performance metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data architecture, semantic modeling, and KPI governance concepts.
