POSITION SUMMARY:The Data Analyst will participate in the development of analysis and work collaboratively as a member of the analytics team to develop and maintain databases, meaningful reporting, and business intelligence tools. This role would be responsible for the ground-up development of metrics in partnership with the company executive leadership team and the creation of tools to monitor and disseminate the results of these metrics to all stakeholders.
Essential Job Responsibilities:- Collects data and formulates intelligence to help achieve business objectives.
- Identifies sources of incremental value creation, best practices, and improvement opportunities.
- Participates in data curation to ensure up-to-date, enriched data set availability for routine and ad hoc reporting.
- Actively manages data sources, statistics, logic, and reporting of key performance indicators.
- Actively manages reports for variance from plan and suggests remediations.
- Fulfills requests for ad hoc analysis.
- Gathers requirements for future development of analytics tools and processes.
- Responds to inquiries for clarification and explanation of existing reports.
- Documents logic, processes, and systems
- Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Work Experience:- Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (finance, accounting, information systems/sciences, mathematics, etc.) or equivalent work experience (3+ years working in quantitative/analytics field)
- Minimum 3-year experience working in data analytics or related field.
- Experience with Medicare Advantage, primary care, or similar/related field
Skills:- Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, data visualization, advanced formulas, etc.), including cloud-based collaboration techniques (shared spreadsheets, surveys, etc.)
- Excellent analytical skills in data manipulation, report development, and data visualization
- Familiarity with relational database concepts and exposure to writing SQL statements.
- Exposure to analytics-oriented programming languages and concepts (Python preferred)
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Exposure to and understanding of medical data sets (claims, HIE, EHR, etc.)
- Spoken and written fluency in English
