Full Job Description
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will join IDEXX's Operations Analytics team and provide analytical, database, and data engineering support for initiatives across supply chain and manufacturing operations. This is a hybrid role based out of our Westbrook, ME location, with a minimum expectation of two days per week onsite. The Operations Analytics team partners closely with IDEXX's Worldwide Operations organization to support business goals through high-quality analytics, modern technologies, and insights that improve operational performance and decision-making.

In this role:
  • You will provide database, analytical, and data engineering support for initiatives, projects, and programs across supply chain and manufacturing operations.
  • You will organize, structure, clean, stage, and transform raw data into analytical-ready datasets.
  • You will support supply chain and manufacturing teams with reporting, operational analysis, and actionable insights.
  • You will apply structured problem-solving and methodical root cause analysis techniques to operational and business challenges.
  • You will build, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, analytical workflows, and data processes to support operational reporting and analysis.
  • You will support data engineering activities, including data staging, parsing, transformation, and workflow optimization.
  • You will perform data analyses using appropriate statistical methods, graphical standards, and analytical best practices.
  • You will design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or JMP.
  • You will retrieve and analyze data from multiple systems and communicate findings clearly to management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • You will investigate data anomalies, troubleshoot data quality issues, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • You will document analytical methods, assumptions, data sources, processes, and conclusions clearly and thoroughly.
  • You will develop a strong understanding of supported systems, operational processes, and business data sources over time.
  • You will collaborate effectively across teams while independently managing assigned projects and priorities.


What you need to succeed:
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or another STEM-related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
  • You have demonstrated experience using SQL for data retrieval, transformation, analysis, and reporting (required).
  • You have experience using Python for data analysis, automation, or analytical workflows (required).
  • You have experience using JMP for statistical analysis, reporting, or data visualization activities (required).
  • You have experience using SAS for data analysis, reporting, or analytical processes (required).
  • You have experience organizing and structuring data for analytical purposes (required).
  • You have experience or demonstrated aptitude with data engineering activities including staging, cleaning, parsing, and transforming datasets (required).
  • You have data visualization experience using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, JMP, or similar technologies (required).
  • You have strong root cause analysis skills (required).
  • You have strong attention to detail and experience supporting data accuracy and reporting quality (required).
  • You are comfortable working independently with limited supervision while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams (required).
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable presenting analysis and findings to a variety of audiences (required).
  • You are comfortable prioritizing work, managing multiple projects, and adapting in a fast-paced environment with evolving business needs (required).
  • You have experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms (preferred).
