Description
The Senior Criminal Defense Attorney at Robert James Trial Attorneys is responsible for providing dedicated legal representation to clients facing criminal charges, ensuring their rights are protected and advocating for the best possible outcomes. This role involves managing cases from intake through resolution, including pre-trial negotiations. The attorney will work closely with clients to develop defense strategies, review evidence, conduct legal research, and craft compelling arguments to support their cases.
A key component of this role is courtroom advocacy, where the attorney will appear at arraignments, bail hearings, pre-trial motions, plea negotiations, and trials. This requires a strong presence in the courtroom, the ability to think quickly under pressure, and exceptional litigation skills. The attorney will prepare and present arguments, examine and cross-examine witnesses, and negotiate plea deals when appropriate.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Licensing:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Georgia State Bar and in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience practicing criminal law, preferably with a proven track record of success in criminal defense.
